Malta is fantastic, I am glad that we moved here with my wife. Before Malta we both lived in UK for 15 years. Yes, there are some things and experiences we are facing, but in general my quick overview: Malta is safe, sunny weather makes us happy, extremely nice people, no walkways, but very understandable drivers, there is a possibility to find a good flat or house, just make an extra effort and contact 100500 agents at the same time. We will leave Malta only in case of tornado, earthquake and vulcano explosion happening all at the same time.

Everything you said is correct. I’d add that we are overpopulated and jobs which are low pay anyway, are not easy to come by. Due to being over populated electricity often goes off, and also often have sewage problems like we had this year in many areas inc., the sea itself. This comes mainly from apartments being shared. Our infrastructure cannot take it. Sewage is getting into our own homes Alex. It’s a known fact even if you aren’t aware. Malta is a tiny island Alex. It can only take so much. I’m a local and if we are going to be honest, than best say it as it is.

Bonġu. Great video, Alex. You know I adore Malta but yes, even as a tourist I am with you in many points. Dirt - as you say, depends where you are. Not only L-Imdina is clean, also in Birgu e.g. you could eat from the street. And besides the household garbage , In Sliema or San Ġiljan you have many tourists. And Malta has a shortage of garbage bins on streets. So they just throw their stuff on the street. And there is one rule worldwide. where there is dirt, more dirt comes bc it does not seem to matter. Also the many deteriorating houses where nobody is responsible. There you see a lot of dirt. And yes the rents are shockingly high. The heat and humidity in summer. well that for sure is a thing of personal tolerance. I find one gets used to it and learns to adjust to a certain extent. I admit I almost miss it. Anyway I love Malta, the people, the language, the food AND the wine. Just got a delivery of wonderful Antonin blanc. 🥰 Hope to be back soon. Take care. Narak😊 Christiane

Thank you for a great video Alex. I would share some photos with you regarding disability, but don't know how to... I've seen weird things, a handicap parking with a light post in the middle, sidewalks with a 1 meter drop, times 3! No way to use them. Posts in the sidewalks, restaurants/cafés making people take to the streets... Still love Malta! Weird, I know! Like the time we were on the bus, passing Nadur to go to Ir-Ramla l-Ħamra.. There were tourists, scampering for change for the bus, Took forever.. As the tickets were finally resolved the younger girl suddenly realized she forgot her backpack (the swimsuits and so forth) on the side walk.. saying one moment please! Hurtling off the bus to retrieve the backpack.. Meanwhile two Gozitan woman finally lost patience and exclaimed Momenta!?? Momenta!?? Followed by something I couldn't understand.. We chuckled.. Good video Alex as always. But to me honest, yes i was there for a week and maybe i did not see much that i would maybe see in a weeks or month, but to be realistic, there is NO such place in the world that would be perfect, tidy, clean and all best that every single person would like it or love it.I live in Ireland over 7 years, and to be honest Dublin is much dirty, has many roads that they are smelly and what dirty not ,and i believe whole Malta is not even 50% dirty...They are some points that u mention-why not to move in Malta, but when u think differently as u said in video, basically, all those "examples and issues" wouldn't be a reason why NOT to move, okay expect living wage and cost which would be great that SYSTEM change and get more better wage and salary's. Malta is lovely place to visit and i believe to live, specially when you have 🌞☀️☀️🌞☀️🌞😎.Having summer-mid summer for 300 or 250 days a yearz maaaaan who doesn't like this???? If you don't, then move to Antartica🐧🐧. Hummidity will only get worst in every country (mediterian)during summer coz we all know why- climate change... Great video Alexxxx☝️😊❤️

If you are not an EU citizen, you are a second class citizen. If you are a woman, even worse. Even though I have only been here a few months, I am already looking for an exit plan. Do not expect European standards or rule of law if you come here. It is a third world mafia run state, full of dirty streets. @@an7st7 There are so many things about the US that are wonderful and beautiful but for me, lately, the bad outweighs the good. Some cities are beautiful and clean and some look like war zones with abandoned buildings, graffiti and litter. Homelessness is a big problem in many cities. You can see people begging on the streets and people just walk past them with disdain. The government only helps businesses and rich people so if you lose your job or get sick and can't work, you can lose everything and end up on the street. Then you will be looked down on and called lazy. In the bigger cities, traffic is a nightmare. I've had a commute to work of more than an hour due to traffic. Everything is super expensive. If you can find rent for less than $1000 it will in a place where no one really wants to live or it will be in extremely poor condition and in a high crime area. Most people struggle to pay their bills or work long hours or multiple jobs just to get by. I spent most of my adult life working 60-70 hours a week just to barely make ends meet. The harder the job, the less you get paid. Some places have nice clean air but other places have terrible pollution and low air quality. There is also a lot of racial tension and blatant racism. If you are not Caucasian you can be subjected to poor treatment and fewer opportunities. Of course that varies by location and circumstance but overall racism is a huge and prominent problem in the US and it is the root cause of most of problems but no one wants to admit it. Sorry for the long rant. I guess I just needed to get that off of my chest.❣️
