I've followed you and Margaret for years now.......since the first campervan. I'm an in awe of your talent, your dedication to keep learning and never giving up. You represent the antidote to what is so wrong in the world today. When bureaucracies like government want the state to control everything, people like you show them what an individual can aspire to. Sure, you need other people to help you achieve your dream, but there would be no dream without people like you. I wish you every success.

Great work! I was just fired from a company that started out like yours, but made the mistake of growing too big, got sold to a private equity and they had no clue how to pivot or innovate. Glad to see you guys back and sharing you work.

@@ladiandmargaret that’s not a bad idea. We made toys, so whenever someone came up with what we thought was a great idea the response was “ well it will cost $50,000 to find out if it is!”. Getting an idea through manufacturing is difficult when you have to rely on a third party supplier, especially in a different country with a different language and culture. Ladi is such a great problem solver with tooling. He see’s the final product and works backwards to understand how to create a final piece. All great inventors/designers/engineers start with a desired outcome, then figure out how to get there. The shop is also growing! Lots of content there. You started with a construction yard and are transforming it in to a small business incubator.

On the structural components I’d recommend utilizing obround cuts for the corner relief on sheet metal bends otherwise you run higher risk of crack propagation from fatigue. For trimming the plastic mud guards instead of using the bandsaw, a metal or mdf trim router template will significantly speed up the process utilizing a flush trim bit.

maybe its a little late to comment but here are my 2cents. If this is a commuting bike with off-road capabilities the other things that should be able to be customizable (besides the wheels and the battery) are both the sprockets and the size of the forward disc brake. For commuting if someone wants to go over 80mp/h on a long road and extend the range of the battery a small rear sprocket its very usefull and with that a bigger forward disc brake its good as well. On the other hand, for off road the existing configuration of prockets and disc break sizes are perfect (bigger disc actually can be a problem is someone its not a skilled ryder). So yeah, those 2 thing, and using the middle space as cargo space with a net or something would also be great. Thanks if you read me.
@itigg2 ай бұрын
If you aren’t using them already I would highly recommend utilizing hex body rivet nuts instead of round body. They aren’t as susceptible to hole tolerances and have much better torque performance before spin out. Especially since you have a tube laser you don’t have to depend on processes that produce round holes. Böllhoff has a great selection of hex body rivet nuts and even have sealed blind version if you need water tight compartments.

Hi Ladi. I'm an (admittedly inexperienced) Electrical Engineer and motorcycle lover in California, U.S.A. Please, PLEASE ensure the Havoc is not just USA legal, but California legal. Us Californians usually have the strictest standards on things and that results in some products being legal in 49 out of 50 states. Please don't let the Havoc be one of those products! You guys have created something special with the Havoc. It's still in pre-production and it's probably still the best electric motorcycle out there. I love your mindset of "Electric motorcycles don't need to look like traditional motorcycles" and "if we do not need it, we should not add it." The Havoc is going to be THE BEST electric motorcycle in the world very soon. I'm no businessman, but please stay (or become) a private company. Quality and attention to detail always goes out the window when public companies prioritize shareholders over the product or service. It's also amazing that this motorcycle is more affordable than other companies that have a major head start on you! I'm definitely going to follow your progress and look forward to riding a Havoc of my own one day! ALSO: Would it be possible to get them unpainted or pay extra to get a different or custom color from whoever you contract out to paint them? I'm personally not a fan of the matte black look. Something like the Havoc should stand out with bright colors and metallic flakes!

You will either have to extend or let the wrap over on the side increase some, or maybe both... You are marketing this as a motor bike so I am thinking in that line of thought. Again very well done.

Can someone explain to me the logic in buying any e-bike over $5K? I also can’t understand why anyone would put so much effort into upgrading a brand new e-bike when motorbikes with anything above 500cc will literally shit all over them and won’t need a few hours to recharge after less than 100 miles. Not to mention the added benefit of being able to be out all day or go on proper long road trips. I really don’t understand it at all. If they were $1000.00 new it might make a bit more sense, but you would get a motorbike with up to 10 times the power for $5k or less? The only argument I’ve seen so far is that they are quieter, but anyone that drives bikes wants them to be loud. Not only cos it sounds better but as most bikers already know - Loud pipes save lives!
