@@BlooMonkiMan It comes from the /r9k/ board, and it's an offshoot of Min-Maxing. The Robot 9000 board was just a board that m00t (creator) made as an experimental widget/feature rollout. After a while the equivalent of 4chan's homeless moved in, and it became the de-facto incel board until the terms expanded into the wider internet. The general point of -maxxing is that they genuinely feel they have to overcompensate for their, well, ugliness. So dating an older woman lowers the standard they have to live up to. That was the original "purpose" I suppose. Nowadays these Zoomers are clearly obsessing over incest content.
@minitntman1236Ай бұрын
@@BlooMonkiMan Indeed it comes from min-maxing. For when you play rpg games, people Ie. Aim to minimise Agility to Maximise Strength, because Status points for the character is limited, so you cannot have everything eg, 10/10 strength, 10/10 charm, 10/10 intelligence and etc. So if you got Min: Looks Then you got Maxing: _____ (Gym/Muscle, Money, etc) But then led to the obvious language change where it means aiming for something. Younger women having been saying they want older men for ages now, so I don’t understand why it’s somehow become a problem when men say they want an older woman. Double standards, honestly. I find 16 and 30 weird, but it's legal and I typically adopt the same principles. It's a very American and modern day internet-raised person take to have too much involvement with opinions on other people's relationships... (The reason I don't even bitch about the 16 thing, is simple. 1. It's 2 years younger than 18, yet to Americans (who don't know MOST of America is 16 for AOC) 16 is a baby, 18 is a full fledged adult... 2. The global average age of consent comes to roughly 16.3 I believe? Surely if most country's have an average of SIXTEEN, then for SOME REASON it makes sense that they all agreed that you can consent at that age. The part that makes me laugh is when I get called a pedo, my personal dating range is 20-30, I'm 25. I wouldn't date a 16 year old, not because she'd be a "child", that's a young woman. I wouldn't date them as I think the cultural differences would likely never align, not because "they're a child", but because of the vast culture shifts in 10 years.)

Let's be clear, two people who are over 18 in a relationship are adults allowed to be in a relationship. This idea of "predator" women preying on 20 year old men or the other way round is idiotic. 20 is grown by society's standard and older women don't need to avoid 20 year old guys as if they were trying to prey upon some teenage High School kids. Age difference between fully grown adults doesn't factor, because adults are adults and are responsible for making their own choices and accountable for their consequences. Why is society treating 20 year old men in an adult relationship like they're 14 and being sexually abused by a predatory teacher? Be it 20 year old men or women they are adults and free to get into any relationship they please and older adults of whatever age are free to seek out relationship with them as they are both adults. We can't be moralistic and coddle people up to and beyond 20 years old or where does personal accountability ever start? There is no such thing as preying upon a 20 year old within a mutually agreed on relationship. How about people mind their own business and let consenting adults have whatever relationships they choose? The 50 year old dude working the lumber section at Home Depot, the 40 and 60 year old cashier ladies at the gas station, the older folks are super pleasant to be around. I would have no problem dating a good looking 40 year old woman. It’s not even about the financial stability, it’s the maturity factor.

Adult Gen Z here, and I second your opinion. I have met more pleasant 50+ year old people than anyone under 35 and that is a woman. I don't intentionally discriminate women, since I am one. But my god it's tiring to deal with all the internet BS in real life, having to worry about being called an -ist or a -phobe is annoying. Especially when I only bring up valid criticism about their cause. I have had disagreements with older people (especially when I was younger and super liberal), but none of them would call me a Nazi for having a different opinion. It's easier to just agree to disagree, but with people in my generation or younger millennials, they want you to change. And if you do change, they're still not happy. It's definitely much easier to hang out or even date people who are uninvolved with popular internet narratives. And young men shouldn't be criticized for dating older women, they call men pedos for dating LEGAL but younger women too. There is no winning. I've been with a guy 10 years older than me for 4 years now, I was the one initiating and pursuing the relationship as an adult. And yet some of the women he knows have called him a pedo. istg

I prefer the calm attitude that comes with life experience.

Age differences (as long as everyone is an adult) isn't a problem as long as it's a genuine relationship and not just using each other like a commodity. I'm dating a woman half my age, but we have a relationship based on love and respect. She relies on my life experience for guidance, and I rely on her having fresh perspectives to rapidly changing aspects in society. We have a very large age gap, but we have common values and interests.

27:06 - Men do weigh their words, but from a different viewpoint, everything they say and do carries the threat of violence. Navigating and avoiding violent outcomes is how men weigh their words instinctually. That's why men tend to get explosively angry, they are saying, "Keep going, and this will be violent, you don't want violent, and I don't want violent!" It's an intimidation tactic like geese, by being big and lound, they can scare away a violent encounter. Moms inherently understand this, which is why they say "wait till your father gets home!" slightly threatening an inferred violence for unwanted actions.

You don't have to worry about losing everything when you have nothing. The problem is that while the impoverished have often used their offspring as free labor for much of history (and likely still do), those with means typically want their kids to succeed and carry on their legacy or family name. Thus, the middle class is now in a precarious position where they don't have the means to provide their children with a viable future, but are not impoverished enough to benefit financially (or otherwise) from having them.

To me this is just another example of social media not being the real world or not a good example of what people really believe. According to Ipsos and Gallup 39% of Americans have dated or are dating some one ten years older. Men are 25% more likely to date some one younger while women are 14% as likely to date younger. In 64% of hetro relationships the man is older. Most Americans DON"T have a problem with age gap relationships and, believe it's acceptable for men and women to date some one 10-15 years younger 71% male 60% female. Every relationship demo has it's issue's and problems. But new studies have shown greater relationship satisfaction with greater commitment and trust among age-gap relationships then with those 1 to 3 years apart. Not every one ages at the same rate or has the same beliefs it's not uncommon to find 60 year old women with 50 year old men. To me it's no one's business what consenting adults are doing with each if people spent more time worrying about themselves and their own relationships the world wouldn't be as lonely.

26:00 it's not that men don't give a fuck because they are men, it's that they give a fuck because they are angry. It's not typical for (most) men to be mean to eachother. So when a normal man loses that self control you get the behavior that they are infamous for.

It’s actually because if Vtubers believe it or not. - Japan’s bakeries and cafes have special seasonal pastries. - the ones for winter never get bought after Christmas (the 25th) - this lead to a cultural thing of calling single women over the age of 25 “Christmas Cakes”, because with how things are over there it becomes near impossible to date by that point. - fast forward to the Vtuber boom - Japanese Vtubers get a bunch of western fans who don’t get the context behind some women being called “Christmas Cakes” - Japanese Vtubers explain, and their western fans basically go “oh, so like the term hag?”

“Your mom doesn’t just want to dominate you as a mother, she’s just a parent right?” You obviously have never experienced growing up with a narcissistic mother as a parent, because this is absolutely is their intent, & not just as their child growing up, but well long into your adulthood, doing everything possible to cripple, & outright destroy your opportunities at your own individual independence, by any means at their disposal to do so. Especially in their interfering attempts of ruinations of friendships, & relationships for her own perceived personal gains. Narcissism knows no boundaries. Much less respects them!

I think men don’t like assertive women because the social dynamic is too different to function. Between men, being overly assertive always carries the implication of potential violence. Between the sexes, (at least in the west) violence from men against women is seen as much more detestable. Which it rightly should, we are much larger and stronger than most women. This dynamic also turns most men off of assertive women because without a potential implication for physical violence, women generally have more protections with much less “investment.”
