IB sure helpful and soon all will be fixed up. My squirrel from last summer must not have survived that 2 weeks of way below zero weather but saw others. They find old walnuts and leave broken shells on the sidewalks.

An inch at a time, and before we know it, we'll see IB in the full. So far, we've seen shoes, bottoms of jeans.. and now legs. OH yes.. the bag over the head too.. so, we've seen shoulders. I'm telling you, he's real !!. ha So nice to have a handyman around. Like Elaine said.. we use only hot water for our dishwashers.. no cold at all. An idea for when you end up with the little flies on your indoor basil etc. Take the plant outside and remove the plant from the pot, and rinse the dirt off of the roots. Then replant.. as those pesky things are usually making a home in the soil itself. I always throw that soil into the garden as I don't want the pesky fly eggs to be transferred with the soil for new house plantings.

Does your dishwasher heat the water? I think some even have a disinfectant setting where it boils the water hot enough to sanitize.

you use cold water to wash dishes ? I try to get it as hot as I can stand it, to wash dishes, clothes, etc.....i figure if the hospitals do it to kill bacteria, etc......i'll just follow suit.

Our dishwashers here take in cold water and then heat it up to what ever temperature you set it to - different cycles do different temperature settings. I love the fact that you can sterilise your crockery and cutlery in a dishwasher. I had no idea that they did not work this way the world over. This comments section is such an eye opener for me! When I hand wash them I'm like you - get it really hot. However - I have heard that to be hot enough to kill bacteria with temperature alone, it would be too hot for human hands to tolerate, so it's a common misconception that hand-hot water kills bacteria. It does help to disperse the grease though, that's for sure. I suspect the washing up liquid kills germs though with it's grease-busting enzymes. I know viruses have a lipid membrane which is destroyed by detergent and thus 'killed'. I can't remember if bacteria have a lipid membrane. I'll have to look it up. I bet they do. oooh. i just checked out Izzy's earrings and can confirm that whilst I may not be her 'demographic' my daughter has her eye on some, problem is she doesn't have her ears pierced, but there is a solution because now she's home educated she doesn't have to take them out for school rules..exciting!

Ahhh yes! Izzy had hers done at Claires. I had expected it to be about 20 quid and had a shock that it was more like £55. It would have been about a tenor less if I had chosen the stingy disinfectant to bathe her ears with every night and morning. It was an extra ten quid for the non sting one if I remember rightly. What a marketing trick that was!!! Thanks Lee and good luck with the planning. :¬)

I did. Apparently you can use it on edible plants according to the label. I would have obviously given it a good wash. Maybe spraying edible foliage was not a good idea? It repels them, rather than killing them. It's a non fatal alternative to slug pellets. I greatly doubt it will work but I felt I ought to at least try.

I can’t remember now? I had my toilet fixed and a broken stop tap fixed at the same time. I think I paid around £120 for it all. My boyfriend did the waste pipe for no charge but a professional plumber did the cold feed on a later occasion. I hope that helps! Thanks for watching. 😃

Guess I'm in the ***over the hill*** demographic.. hahaha. I took a quick look at Izzy's earrings.. I think the yellow daisy one is cute.. as are the solar system ones. This senior granny would wear those earrings. We also had a beautiful sunny day today. The family all came for a front yard visit, and I hid Easter Eggs for the girls. They had fun finding them, and it was so nice to just spend the time with each of them. It never fails.. you do one job, and it ends up being 2 jobs..as something just doesn't work right, or fit, or work. When ever hubby said that "it's just a little job".. I plan for the afternoon to be taken up with his "little job".
