❤ Yes, this is exactly just one of the many reasons why I absolutely love to follow you and watch your videos! You have great ideas! Some of your ideas are unconventional and that's why I love following you so much! I love that you're always using scraps and things (blanket, blouse, sheet) that you have to make such beautiful quilts. I watch some of your videos over and over again to learn! I also take the time to watch through your entire list. Every once in a while I'll find a video that I have not watched yet and it is truly a joy! When I see that you have posted a new video, I make special time during my day or evening to just sit and watch your video! It is always a pleasure and I always learn something new! Thank you for taking the time to film and make all of your projects. I surely appreciate everything that you do! Thank you💙🪡🧵

Hello Beth, I really appreciate you showing how to make this quilt today. I've been wanting to use this type of a blanket. You made the process look so easy. I'm not sure if it will be this easy for me, because I do not have a juki TLC sewing machine with the throat space height as your machine. I do have a juki sewing machine but the throat space height is much shorter I believe it may only be 5.5 inches. Which makes it hard to quilt, but I manage. But given the fact of using this type of a blanket for the backing I'm not sure if it will work. Thanks for your time and posting this video I did enjoy watching the process. Looking forward to the next video.

My great grandchildren have enjoyed them very much, and I got the chance to try something new. The quilt came out great. I love that you found a way to put that blanket to good use! I did a Minky/Cuddle quilt for my great granddaughter. I hope to not do one again!. By the time you cut all the fabric, the table, floor etc are full of fuzz and then you stick the pieces in the dryer to get the rest of the fuzz off and then you sew it together. It was interesting…but my granddaughter was happy to have it for her baby!

I see these on sale at Costco and see king-sized quilt backing for $15. I haven't used one yet, but I have used minkey. I have used batting on both of mine. Spray is a 1,000 times better than pins. I make a couple of basting stitches across the layers to make me worry less about slippage. The quilt is beautiful.
@windycityliz77119 ай бұрын
Why didn't I think of that - using just a few basting stitches to anchor my sandwich? Duh. I make full size quilts but have to layer on a pretty small table (I can't do the floor anymore). This will work - thanks for the obvious; it will help.

Did you wear a face mask to keep from breathing any of that fuzz? I love your Four Patch quit top. I may have enough flannel scraps to make a small quilt top now. However, I have never tried using any of that fuzzy stuff on the back of any of my quilts. It is polyester. I was taught that polyester will cut cotton. What kind of thread did you quilt it with? Your quilt is beautiful. I just wonder how long it will last? My two cats used their claws to cut up the polyester, fuzzy, lining in their cat beds. I need to repair or replace their beds.

Thought that you could have skipped the binding by using the self bind method.
@imadandy81459 ай бұрын
Beth, do you always sew your binding 1/2” from edge? Or was that because of this different fabric? I struggle with binding but always use your method but I sew 1/4” from edge…
@bethshibleyquilts9 ай бұрын
I always stitch a bit more than 1/4” away from the edge. Not sure of the exact measurement. It probably doesn’t matter too much if it’s a little bigger👍
