You might have noticed the tiny photo of mine on the side with the cowboy outfit and the pattern of my native Igorot jacket. Here in the mountainous region of the Cordillera, Philippines, we the native Igorots (one of the major indigenous group of our country) was influenced heavily by country music when American colonized our country. I was just watching and you mentioned that Charlie Pride hated the song Red Necks, White Socks and Blue Ribbon Beer, Johnny Russell talked about that on Country's Family Reunion and the way it went it was his manager who thought it was racist and banned it from being sung at a Charlie Pride concert. Before he even recorded it J.R. called Charlie Pride who asked him if he thought it would be a hit, he said yes and Charlie said well then record it. Even though Charlie had no problem with it his manager still banned it .
