The blunder here was flatting and then 5-betting. Taking that line and being balanced may as well be impossible. She would have been better off flatting that 4-bet, total exploit however it would have completely disguised her hand and the guy with kings may have shipped it. You are assuming there is a big stack with KK behind... Which will happen 1 every hundreds of times... Most of the time, the squeeze or the OR will not have such big hands, and then flat with aces could be the better option. Maybe if she flatted again the 4b, KK would have go all in, or at least, I guess QQ would have give everything on a lot of flops.

In the other video of this hand, everyone was saying: She will never flat AA’a again. Honestly, this early in the event I would prefer take down the 48.5k pot without seeing a flop. That said the flat, jam with AA is a favorite of OMC nits everywhere. Her line did appear super strong, and there was one other player that had over 200k, so in theory it was playing 209k effective. She would have been badly damaged but wasn’t at risk of eliminating. If she likes the flat, jam here but wants to get action then she should fully commit to the strategy and work on balancing her flat to 5-bet jamming range.

One hundred percent. comment section truly full of armchair pros, how can anyone blame her for 5 betting here, it's perfectly fine. to just flat again would have been an incredible play, which would require her to put Hutter on basically exactly KK, maybe AK or QQ as those might also reraise the 4-bet. her 5-bet certainly raises some red flags but we all know sitting in the chair in that spot that is an incredibly difficult play to come up with. It was honestly a nice flat behind the QQ, the 5-bet is fine, and two really amazing folds. I think the reason the flat call is actually the move here is not because we should expect a player in her spot to put Hutter on KK (or some other hand which may reraise the 4-bet like QQ/AK) but because in the worst case scenario of flatting and Hutter just calling, we're three handed with Aces which is generally fine. Best case scenario obviously, Hutter goes over the top again and we get all of our chips in with AA in this spot. For that reason I think the flat is a more realistic/attainable play to make there. If we fully unpack this hand, it's really a comparison of whether we'd rather risk going 3 handed in a 4-bet pot, versus 5 betting and either just winning now or going to a big pot way ahead, and without both of those two great folds (one of which is actually just amazing) the 5-betting play gets even better

What's the most I've seen AA win without seeing a flop?? 1 SB. Yep, the entire table - 9 players total, and everyone including SB folded to the BB who didn't even get to see his cards, and he flips them over to see what he was dealt.... and he had AA. So by that measure, winning close to 30BBs without seeing a flop isn't half bad. Imagine if both QQ and KK had called and one of them hit a set and crippled her stack on the last hand of the day - happens more often than not with multiple callers. Her play wasn't ideal, but the returns were more than fair.

Hutter saved Eichele. For everyone grumping about how he behaved, she'd already blown her hand. It was a fantastic laydown by Hutter. Whether Eichele would have figured it out in time to save himself without that is questionable, but she overplayed it by not letting the action come to her. She definitely had some sense the other guys liked their hands, so why push that hard pre-flop?

This is why I like a Jam with Aces here. It's just to obvious AA played like this.

What are the tournament rules? It seems like Hutter's behavior after his fold affected gameplay. The look on his face like he folded a huge hand. It benefitted Eichele and deprived Phan of an opportunity.

Incredible play but her ultra-back raise is sooo suspicious. Still, the problem here is that if you get a reputation for being able to fold KK, you become vulnerable to back-raise squeezes from 'some idiot from Northern Europe'...

Great hand. Wow. Also a hand that makes me glad I don't play poker anywhere close to this level. I'd be sick folding KK pre-flop.

Great lay downs, but Hutter should have shown some composure. I know it's horrible, but once you fold just wait. Be sick later. Or just walk away from the table.

To be fair I don’t know if the computer likes her play but I see what she was going for. She’s in a spot where if anyone else raises she gets the last action and she picked up like 35 bbs without risk and by calling she is trying to price in the short stack BB to hit a pair and stack off or rejam pre and if Eichele does anything other than 4 bet her plan works beautifully

Would have been tempted to jam in her spot, make it look like she was trying to isolate the shorter stack. The way she played it was only ever AA, she would have been better 3-betting the original raise.

Not really considering a call would've been for more than 50% of his stack. Why call and risk over half of your stack for a hand you're most likely behind on. If he put her on a higher PP then his odds are basically 1 to 4 and that's never a winning equation stack wise in the long run. Obviously he knew this.
