lmao i was there for the DNS code era - that was such an amazing time. loggged off one night, went to school, came back to my friend who said "yo check out my garage" - i walk in and he has 2 cargobobs, 3 chrome adders with dollar sign wheels, a cop car, a lawnmower, a gold z-type and a tank chilling in there, died almost instantly. wont ever forget that lol. DNS era was total chaos and freedom.

There was also another casino chip glitch at the horse tracks where you’d go to the singles betting, max out your bet and pick a horse hold right on d-pad and x and then slide your thumb to the down button on the d-pad so the race will start. While the race is going you’d hold x the whole time and your horse would win every time.

I remember in 2014/2015, I was following a youtuber who was making glitch duplication videos. Every time I got a notification for one of these new videos I knew I was going to make a few million on GTA online.

Came back during Covid and learned about the casino heist glitch. Keep all your progress in setup missions, have one partner take the max cut, quit as the mission completes, partner keeps their cut and you keep your setup equipment. Taking turns with that net a good 4 million an hour. Never got caught neither!

I remember using the apartment glitch multiple times made over 600 million doing so, naturally once it became a well known glitch I knew an account/money wipe was coming so i decided to stay offline for about 2 weeks during the ban/wipe hammer wave and luckily my account was saved nothing got wiped and never got banned, fast forward to now with all the recent updates i have less than 200 million left 😂 believe me 600 million don’t last long when you’re buying everything in every update 😂 and ive used and tested every possible glitch since the dns codes

I’ll never forget doing what I think was the easiest car dupe glitch ever. It was pretty early in Onlines life but basically it was a solo glitch where you go and get a prostitue at night, drive the car into a tight alley way where you had to spawn out of the car because the door wouldn’t open and the prostitue would be stuck in the car, kill her, drive the car to the garage and each empty space you have you placed the car and it would dupe it😂

there was also a glitch in which it was possible to change the cost of selling a car through the cheat engine. Then the game crashed and you got around 300-400 million. but I do not know if this can be considered a glitch, because the program was used

I remember this one glitch that for some reason only me and my cousins remember, but there was a race mission where everybody would take turns crashing into a specific rock. The vehicle duplication glitch has permanently ruined the ability to sell multiple cars for both legit players and cheaters too, but cheaters aren't affected by it as badly as legit players. Being able to sell one car every 18 hours for full resale of 60%, and then reducing it to 50%, then 25, for the third time, and finally 5% for each time afterwards. Since Rockstar Games hasn't figured out how to patch the arena war weeny issi duplication glitch, those players can make 1.3 million each day.

I remember doing a bunch of money glitches on my main account and making over a billion I remember the 1st money glitch I ever did back in 2014 on Xbox 360 that had to do with trapping a stripper inside ur car then killing them and driving back into ur garage and the vehicle would duplicate lmfaoo, I remember doing the locate a plane and making about $5 million off it and then having the money I made get reset/wiped 3 days later. Then I did the apartment glitch was which was crazy I made about 300 million in a few hours would even get bored with how easy it was then about a week later both my online characters got reset to level 1 I was confused cause I also did the apartment glitch on my other account made about 150 million and nothing happened to it and i still play on that account today I haven’t done a money glitch since the apartment glitch.

I did the 1st ever duplication glitch when it came out, and I’m currently doing the present Bunker/Nightclub duplication glitch. Been doing these dupe glitches for 11yrs and not even as much a warning from R*. These glitches have purchased me every vehicle in the game, and have around 700mil still in the bank. I used stealth back in 2018 when gunrunning came out, press f5 then boom 5 mil straight to your gta bank, no bans or wipes happened to me i musta put atleast 50 mil on and back then it was a crap ton, bought everything i needed to, currently sit at 30 mil from cayo grinding when it was super easy to do so. Of course it did get patched or desisted but man it was a great mod, helped me a ton through that year especially with mk2 griefers appearing that year

I can proudly say that after 15 years, billions of modded and glitched money, i never once caught a ban or a wipe. For years I lived off of bonds from my frozen money x80 protos. I still have probably 10 or 20 x80 protos left

I made roughly 50 million and he made just north of 60 million. Him and I both never received bans or money wipes. We still “live” off of that money to this day lol.

my favorite are disconnect glitches which allowed you to spin the wheel at the casino unlimited times. You don't get the rewarded on the times you disconnect but allows you to spin again, and replay the final heist mission so you can play it again and skip the setup missions, though you sometimes didn't get paid.

It's not insane at all. Rockstar keeps nerfing the most effective legitimate money grinding options, so obviously players will be pushed more into committing these glitches, especially with the prices of new vehicles and businesses. It's not insane at all to understand, that people will be more willing to risk doing these glitches than either paying ridiculous amounts for sharkcards or grinding the game like a second 9-5. Also, not every glitch gets detected the same way, the Cayo replay glitch still has a lot of players with unaffected accounts, even though it was one of the most effective ways to glitch money at the time (apart from just duping Issis, which has been patched anyways).

I have 0 qualms about money glitches. It is genuinely amazing the scope all the activities available... Not that most ever play 98% of them because they're not financially viable. Remove money because you already have plenty and you can start doing whatever you want. Classic heists on easy mode sure. Messing around with vehicles you never see in online yes! Then there's the missions so many missions I didn't even know some of these game modes exist.

What I did was catch a decent money glitch early on. Didn't get too greedy, only got like 200 mil from one of the first car dupe glitches. Been living off that since. Never got banned or wiped. Admittedly I'm a bit broke these days and find myself trading cars in for new stuff.

That last glitch could also be used to cut off all cooldowns in the game so infinite casino wheel spins and orbital cannon uses etc. Also frozen money, so all I did was pick up 800 mil worth of scramjets and deluxos on both characters without any account wipes!

In 2017 there was also a race glitch that everyone did, all races were double xp and the race was around the whole map. but if you manage to do the race in under 10 mins you would receive a few millions due to the achievements being hit

Honourable mention to the heist reset glitch, was so fun back in the day doing Pacific standard 4 times in a row each of your mates taking 0% when they hosted and keeping their setups when the most expansive vehicle was a hydra. Can still do it to this day with act 2 or bogdan, i currently have a hard mode panther but just not the same anymore

I remember being a new player again in 2019-2021 and my friends kept complaining and mentioning how Rockstar was just wiping peoples accounts and I remember hearing A LOT about the mass bannings which highly concerned me as I did not want to be banned for just playing the game. I have never taken part in a money glitch and I was a lot less knowledgeable about glitch finding code and such back then too. I play on a different account now even though my old account is perfectly fine and I did a lot with it.

at some point near 2020 i think, there was a glitch where you could make one duplicated car every 30 seconds (just had in and out of the garage, with a few manipulations in game menu). that was literally the best glitch since years, as you could instantly bank your money into cars, and not get wiped. glitch got patched in around 3 days.

Quite literally broke online still dupes out there to this date didn’t just ruin the money economy had KDs ruined, Levels, etc most insane glitch Dupes could quite literally paste 1000s of hours worth of modded stuff into a fresh account and then 30 days later migrate it to ps.

I remember using the SP to MP method to bring special cars over to online. I'd use a save editor on my little chromebook to give cars max upgrades, special license plates and colors, etc then bring them over to online. This was in late 2013 early 2014 and I had some really unique cars for a while, even transferred them over to new gen. Lost them when I made the switch to PC
