This game bothered me for the rest of the year because you should never give up a 17 point lead in the 4th. A couple of records were broken in this game, but those records have since been broken. - Tommy Maddox threw for 473 yards, which originally broke Bobby Layne's franchise record. However, Maddox's record was broken by Ben Roethlisberger in 2009, when Ben Threw for 503 yards against the Packers and then for 500 plus yards two more times to break his own record. - Plaxico Burress set a franchise record with 253 receiving yards, until his record was broken in a November 2015 game against the Raiders by Antonio Brown, when AB had 284 yards receiving in that one. This was a wild crazy high scoring affair and it's not what the Steelers of this era were used to, as the year prior, they were a dominant running team but were transformed into a potent passing offense when Maddox took over for Kordell Stewart during the 2002 season.
