This is actually so true. I know now my dumper monkey-branched to someone else who was going through their own break-up, and was rejected by him - I knew at the time that this was her motivation, I just didn't know how it would end out. She took no responsibility for any of our issues and actually accused me of putting the blame on her, playing mind games and holding her back from who she really was. On the other hand, I went through the grief cycle and a period of introspection where I realised that I was as much at fault for how I treated her and reacted to how she treated me, it was my pushing back that ultimately caused the split, but I'm glad I did as I got the power back. I also started walking and joined a slimming club to both lose weight and get out of the house. I've lost over 5 stone in 4 months, so who was really holding who back?

Thanks Nick, exactly as I feel. My Dumper has not developed and she is just repeating her game with the guy she monkey branched to. He doesn’t know that it’s just his turn with her and she will rinse and repeat. She will never grow emotionally or redefine who she is. No empathy or profound appreciation. I kind of feel sorry for her, she is a good person, just not aware of the mess she is causing for herself.

Fuck that guy! If you don’t yet see this toxic guy leaving as a good thing you soon will. Don’t give him the satisfaction of feeling bad, if anything you should pity him. Currently going through a break up (day 12). This is the second one in a month and the first time I made the mistake of reaching out to her after two weeks of no contact. She promised to not use breaking up as a tool to deal with an argument. She disrespected me also. Now she did it again and even cursed me out when I called her out on her behavior. I walked out of her apartment and blocked her going no contact. If she wants me back she will need to do the work and earn it. I’m done chasing her.

One thing I want to point out as a man in a traditional relationship in the past. I notice majority of us including men and women often have trauma experience from childhood and many of us have insecurity attachments being raised by parents. I didn’t realize I had this and would cary this with me in relationship. My dad wasn’t there for me and my mom was very critical on me. I always recommend men and women to learn about your attachments and heal yourself from trauma. You will always be an emotional baggage for someone else if you don’t fix it. Now back to it, it sucks but men. You got to understand that you have to be the emotional savior for many women who in relationships and your job is to make them feel secured while courting them and making them feel wanted. Really hard work. Really worth it if you feel it’s worth it. Just keep in mind, stay patient but see red flags as well because not all women are nice and take advantage of you as well. Women who argue why men are not emotional. Let me tell you once we open up and share insecurities about ourselves and show you our issues we deal with. Some women not the good ones. Start to get turned off. They have such high expectations from movies or celebrity couples. Relationships are soo complicated and complex in a time where social media creates toxic culture, grass is always greener syndrome and fomo. Not to mention never get your best friends and inner circle involved in your love life. Always ends bad. Keep your love life private and away from family as well as parents can also be judgmental. Don’t let outside influence your relationship. With that in mind; I’m sorry to tell you the truth. As a man, just shut up, put a good face, suck up your emotions and go out there be the best of yourself and be an emotional wall for someone.

what you're talking about is an avoidant personality type. They are literally forged by childhood neglect and disregard that creates further issues of insecurity, abandonment, jealousy, and so much more down the road. I just got dumped by one and while she never admitted to being an avoidant (i asked her at one point while we were together), she DID open up to me a lot about her dysfunctional household/upbringing and then a decade of toxic, emotionally abusive relationships. She ended things with me because she told me that after almost 3 months of being together, that she could no longer hide or "mask" her insecurities and jealousy and fear of abandonment, and that she had to end things in order to really fix her head and have the best chance at therapy actually being beneficial to her. It's amazing to thing someone as insanely beautiful as her (like no joke, think a blonde combo of ScarJo and Angelina Jolie, with the greenest, most captivating eyes you've ever seen), as successful as her making well into 6 figures a year whose traveled the world and dated doctors and millionaire trust fund babies and lived in apartments that rented out for $3500 a month, would be intimidated or jealous of me; your humble, blue collar worker living in a 900sq foot house, driving a beater 2005 Honda, who has never traveled outside the country or even more than like 1200 miles from home. I have NOTHING in comparison to the men she's dated, yet I made her more nervous and anxious than any of those other guys did because I was always my 100% transparent self around her, for better or for worse. I never sugar coated anything, I didn't get on my knees and worship her or tell her that she's the greatest human on the planet. I was always real with her and often criticized her, but made sure to balance it with as much or slightly more positive praise. She told me that she had to leave to focus on her career and her business she wants to start in the coming months as well as "fitness goals" and also to learn from her therapist what security feels like and if she's even capable of. What really happened though, 2 weeks post-discard is that I triggered her. She realized that I'm husband/life partner material and that she's not ready for that (or so she thinks) and that committing to me means a loss of freedom and so rather than pumping the brakes maybe and slowing things down (which we did try 2 weeks before i was tossed), she just said "eff this, I'm not allowed to have these feelings I have so.....run for the hills it is."

Possibly, yes. But it takes a great deal of self awareness. If they keep going from one person to the next, they’re merely outsourcing their wounds to other wounded animals. My advice. Does the emotional pain still apply to the dumper who bounced between me and the rebound for 7 months 4 times, and still returned to him. At first she said that spending time apart made me realize that i was everything she needed, and she wont return to this guy because everything was very bad, no trust no intimacy, broke her self love, because of his actions. Few days later she tells me that everything is not the same, and everything should be new. Dumped me again week later she is back with the same guy. And this guy doesn’t know anything what happened. And there was even another guy after him before she reached out to me the fourth time. So my question is due to the fact that she hasn’t given herself time to experience the break up, because she wasn’t alone those seven months, and she cant be alone as she said, will she experience pain of a 3 year relationship later?
