Should I hunt with a battery that dry or one that’s not dry does it make a difference?

This method 100% works! After spending about 17,930 Jirachis doing it the long way on-and-off since 2014 I gave this method a try and I finally got my shiny Jirachi last week at 21,015!

Is your save file corrupted after deleting? Just turn off the power after pressing YES, it should work.
