I was looking forward to it too, but the more I see, the less desirable it becomes. I saw 15 MPG average on the dash in this video. That is unacceptable!
@bryanangelov3 жыл бұрын
@@greateyedeer5418 IMO the MPG will be at their advertised level. On those videos, the journalists are really hitting the gas pedal hard and with any turbo engine that is expected. I have a 2021 Tundra and the sticker shows 14 MPG average. My wife has a heavy foot and every truck/car we owned, the MPG was about 5 MPG lower than the advertised one. But with the current Tundra, our MPG is 13.8, which is the closest we have ever got to the advertised MPG. I believe the real issue here is that they are pricing the new truck so high that someone that is buying them had to be really crazy to overlook the competition. The Bid 3 are very competitive. They offer more choices, and considering the new Tundra comes with a new turbo engine and a new transmission, I do not expect it will be more reliable than any of the big 3 trucks, maybe in couple years, but not now. As I said above, somebody has to be a big Toyota fan to overlook the competition and buy the new Tundra. Do not get me wrong, I am a Toyota fan, but I acknowledge that the 2022 Chevy/GMC is a way better truck than the new Tundra. Absolutely will dominate the Tundra in any aspect. The RAM 1500, while I do not like the exterior, is also overall a better truck than the new Tundra. Even certain trims of the F150 are way better than the new Tundra. I never liked Nissan Titan, but if you score a good deal on that truck, it will be also in my opinion a better choice. I am ashamed to say, but the new Tundra will be my last choice not only because of its hideous look, but because of its high pricing .

@@kebob2150 valid but I think there are still trims that cut down on additional features. I don’t like the front end. Maybe my “views” will change when I see it in person. I want a 6 1/2 foot bed CrewMax. I find the standard 5 1/2 too short sometimes. Too bad they don’t have a 7 food bed 🤣😂

Why is Toyota Not proudly displaying a V6 badge on this all new Full Size Tundra??? 🤔

They opted to instead lie about the 3.4 liter being a 3.5 liter.

Toyota made the 4wd selector dummy proof so you don't accidentally bump it and drive around in 4hi on asphalt. Same with the seat "hey careful you're adjusting your ass!" And I don't think it the fogs that are incorporated, rather the front end isn't encorprated with the rest of the truck so it just appears the fogs are. Like how a 7 beside a 4 can look like a 9 And lastly, I knew that 'light bar' wouldn't be trail functional and merely an accent light. Which makes sense, light bars aren't road legal in 99% of places, only places i do know of that allow them is in moose heavy areas, and legality is still a grey area.

How is the light bar not useable on a trail? Yes it would be nice to use it with just low beams but I run my highs plenty off road.

@@79random because it's just a dim accent light that just so happens to be in the shape and style of a true to form light bar

I like the interior. In function it reminds me allot of my Seirra. I DO NOT like the grill though. Ugh. if you got into an accident would you have to replace the whole front of the truck? Its like there i no bumper at all. It also looks like the flying fist they seem to be incorporating into all heavy duty trucks and I'm just not a fan.

@@daniels2761 Yeah, I see what you mean. Like really, do you need 4 doors or could you just get by with 3; I mean that 4th door is just another door to break. And really, do you need to run your headlights at night in the city; most time there's enough light from the street lights and parking lot lights. Why wear out your headlights needlessly right?

I don’t blame them for the light bar. Too many people drive around with aftermarket light bars in all the time on the road. Besides I’m sure someone will figure out a bypass at some point.
