The Crazy Streets of Cairo, Egypt. In this video we will explore the city of Cairo on the back of Carriage! This here is a very popular form of transportation in the city and it has been around for decades! We will cruise around the downtown area and pass by the popular Egyptian Museum. I hope you enjoy this tour with one of the coolest kids that I met during my time in Cairo.

DISCLAIMER: This video was filmed before I had seen the videos of the mistreatment of the Horses in Egypt. You will also see me go on a horse during my pyramids video, but trust me now I am fully aware and the last thing you should do is participate in this! I'm showing you the world for what it is and in Egypt horses are still used as a primary form of Transportation and especially in small towns. I will talk more about this in future videos, but this was filmed on my second day in the country and I was unaware. I have no education at all about horses and don't know a damn thing about whips or the proper care for one, or how to even properly steer one. So please enjoy the video, but yes be aware of this and please don't participate when you visit! ❤

As sad & unfortunate that some things are in other countries... Chris is just showing us the reality of how things are in other parts of the world. Don't blame Chris for sharing with us the true reality of it all. He's keeping it real and doesn't have any control over what truly happens in other places. Y'all be respectful with your comments.

In order to have the most beautiful days in Egypt, from my point of view, you should go to Aswan or Luxor and take a river trip. The Nile River is completely different in the south from Cairo and go from there to any city on the Red Sea, Marsa Alam, Nuweiba, or Dahab. There is another path if you decide to take the western part of Egypt, such as Siwa Oasis. It is charming, guys. It is classified as the second most beautiful village in the world, where you can see the second most beautiful sunset in the world. Since you took the western route from Egypt, then you camp in the desert with a barbecue and go to the white desert, its color is like snow. There you will see the entire Milky Way, almost enchanting your eyes with its beauty. After this, you will walk towards the city of El Alamein, also in western Egypt, where you will see the bluest water on earth with white sand and very beautiful skyscrapers. There is also Sinai, there is Mount Moses, about which God spoke to God, and you can climb it and watch the sunrise, and Mount St. Catherine, where there is snow. ✨Every inch of Egypt is history✨

Dude…excellent job on not focusing on the negative in Egypt. But also let’s get real…”Sayed” (the older guy looking for Matthew Willy Simons) created a conflict and then wouldn’t let it go. You handled that perfectly. In a foreign country being asked to follow a complete stranger to their car claiming to “solve problems”???? Dude created a problem and seemed to kind of get off by being in control and power. That guy is more than capable of making that situation go either way and you weren’t ever in control of it. Kinda explains why Matt Willy Simon might’ve ghosted his homie for 30 years. Lol.

Having spent time traveling solo in Egypt this brought back good memories but also im glad you showed the horse ride as it is a terrible reminder of what I witnessed. The starving and mistreated horses, just rib cages and bones. Please tourists if you stop supporting this and only use the cart riders who actually feed and nurture there horses you can make a big difference. Egypt is a beautiful country with wonderful people, as tourists it is our duty to be respectful but also aware of the consequences of our actions. Looking forward to your upcoming videos!

Whats up bro loving the vids and love watching you experience my home country from a foreign perspective. I am currently living abroad and watching your vids definitely helped cure a bit of my homesickness haha. Just as a tip in my opinion, i feel like you should reach out to an egyptian either a friend or a content creator or even a tour guide because I feel like you’re missing out on actually educating yourself on some of the landmarks in Egypt (an example of why i say this is how you went to el mousky instead of khan el khalili). I feel like having a local with you will both make you feel safer and allow you to deeply understand egyptian culture. I am so happy for your positive reaction on Egypt given that most content creators who visit Egypt promote bad reviews on my country. Hope you enjoy your rest of your trip and know that i appreciate your videos!

Egyptians are well aware of the negative publicity yt vloggers are giving their country. They may be struggling financially but they are proud to be Egyptians. You have shown a fair view of the place. The large building you passed was a kasr..the King's palace. The lion's bridge is fabulous kasr el nile bridge. Egypt had a monarchy in the last century. The pink building is the cairo museum..full of ancient egyptian artifacts. They have a new one in giza. Cairo tower i did go up once.Great view of the city. I think you are missing Andrew & Gladys. I have been to Cairo on 3 occasions. For me, going to the museums, the nearby pyramids etc, was enough for me. Very poor and many slums in Cairo. Now other parts of Egypt such as the Nile, Luxor, and its resorts are far more interesting and beautiful. If you stay in that region, try and fly to nearby Cyprus. Although it’s winter and quiet at the moment, still a lot to do on beautiful Aphrodite’s island. Nicosia, the capital is the last divided capital in the world. One side Greek and other Turkish

Thank you for sharing with us. Please ignore all those coming out in the comments re the horse, you said yourself you don’t understand all of that. You also explained how for many locals, in many parts of the world- this is still transport. Too many people go in judging about this with western values which isn’t fair when judging countries not as economically fortunate. Keep doing you Chris, we love you. And btw habibi is technically “my love” but it’s used in the same way us northern English call people “love” just a friendly term. Akhi is brother in Arabic.

Hey Chris about the horses, horse-drawn tours can provide a unique and traditional experience for tourists. It supports local economies and cultural practices. However, the negatives effects might involve potential mistreatment of horses, overworking, and environmental impact. Balancing these factors is crucial for responsible tourism. Ensure the horses appear well-fed and hydrated. Check for signs of injuries like scars or exhaustion. Ask about their work hours and rest periods. Responsible operators are transparent about their animal care practices. I dont think you should feel bad about using horses for tourism. Great videos buddy ❤

Dear, a good trip. We were honored to have you in Egypt. I am Egyptian, but I did not like these exploitative people. There are people who exploit you and do not know how to guide you to tourist places well. You have to communicate with a specialist or someone who knows English well in order to guide you well. Happy trip from Egypt 🇪🇬🇪🇬

Nobody wants to give you anything in Egypt, they all want to sell you something. The real friendly Egyptians talk to you like a normal person and then leave. These are touts

The boy said "moustashfa" which means hospital. You were saying Mustafa which is a male name. It's funny Sayed misunderstood you and I worked with an Egyptian guy in downtown Long Beach who constantly misunderstood me and thought I was saying something bad 😂

Nice kid but he has an awareness of the road he was a mad man on the horse cart lol was scary to watch having full blown conversations with you while not paying no attention to the cars and bikes on the road 🫣🤭🫢. Crazy haha 😂

You really got robbed on that ride. And poor horses. I know you weren't aware at the time. I admire how positive you are reacting to being in Egypt. This place breaks souls.

I just returned from 17 days in Egypt, had the most amazing trip. Saw so many amazing places and learnt so much. But, the Egyptian’s do get under your skin..! They could be their own worst enemy for the future of tourism.

Never do business with anyone in future who who treats animals cruely my friend, because they Won't be grateful for your kindness either, whichever country you're in.. I'm from Egypt, part white British also, don't really know the language, (😢 You probably speak more Arabic then i do lol..) From my perspective, i could be wrong, that Young boy could of shown more gratitude once you paid him, but the majority of Egyptian people would have reacted differently and appreciated your generosity. God bless you and hope you enjoy the rest of your visit in Egypt.
