1 week with K1C, printing with very affordable filaments - PLA, SILK-PLA, ASA, CF and ABS (Prima and Azurefilm mostly and only one Creality filament which came in the box - the white hyper-pla), all of them are printing great (small parts, miniatures, statue, functional items etc). In one week, my printer has barely had any downtime, maybe 10 hours on standby, but otherwise, it's been running non-stop and I am overall satisfied (currently printing some Tesla parts with ASA. Issues, so far: top cover seems to be a general issue, but never had a problem with that as it's only touching on the left side - and for that you get a sticky rubber band in the box to place and protect the side but there not a single scratch mark on top, it doesn't reach nor touch that area). However, for a perfect cover fit, I've printed a raiser kit with hinged lid which also look great, with option of fully closed or perforated panels for good air vent whenever I change the filament. I haven't had any clogs, though I did manage to get the filament stuck once during my first filament change. It felt a bit rough, and I got confused - so yeah, that was on me. But fixing it was a breeze, just a bit of patience with retracting and then following the instructions to insert and extrude again, ..You just have to get used with devices, in general :). "There are people who can't drive a stick but they're good racers" The last "problem" is the bed leveling which in my case reflects only in values/graph view and not in the print quality itself. After placing the printer on a very stable surface (if you dont have one, just place the printer on the floor!!), I ran the auto bed leveling and bed mesh values turned to -0.3 to 0.2 and I use it like this with no problems (first layer went fine on all of the mentioned filaments). I use ONLY their software, with minimum intervention (temp, speed, ironing etc, no fancy modding if it's not necessary) you also have the option for advanced settings but I only use tweaked generic profiles (generic-pla, generic-abs, generic-asa etc). Last but not least, before importing to Creality Print software, all of my models have been adjusted and exported STL's from Cinema 4D (optimize the mesh, triangles bla bla, just get a decent work on your 3d models with no artifacts if possible - tested on same 3d object). I tried some other slicers with the same files and I didn't like it in the sim, so why bother print it (actually the only one OK was Cura Meshmixer/IdeeaMaker and some other slicer went terrible when importing the files, I wouldn't bother to check why and it's their job to do it :)). Im not a Creality fan, actually a first time user..maniac for details. There's nothing I couldn't print (yet). I could buy Bamboo P1 series for 100 something extra but with all the vloggers and marketing around it, made me NOT do it, I prefer the honest and rough side of life. :)), I've been "researching" for almost 1 month before purchase and this come out just in time. After all they are all made in China and in my tech experience, the error is mostly in front of the screen. However, after seeing your vid, I'll buy some spare parts..just in case (extruder, nozzle etc..) :). About those gears, there's a reason why they are enclosed, any open gears would tilt when forcing object in-between, or maybe I'm wrong..

After 4 months of churning out parts in PLA and ABS, mine is stilll going like a bandit. It's in a school setting and the kids are giving it a real workout. It constantly gets abused with wrong temps, broken filaments, too much and too little glue. One kid forgot to put the magnetic bed back in. The biggest issue is the filament out sensor. It can't detect a broken filament when it breaks near the hotend. It needs a filament movement sensor. The head wipe thing on the end of the bed plate broke off after the first two weeks - so far we dont miss it. Watch out for odd chars in the filenames. Even apostrophes cause print crashes.

There have been issues with hotends, extruders, even the thermal paste used on the hotend has been a problem. Some of my contracts don't let me use Bambu printers (I have 2 still just to free up the other printers) so it's not an option, the K1s I have been able to get to be workable but for something sold as working out of the box it shouldn't be this difficult

My K1C is 3 weeks old and I cannot print on more than 20% of the build plate due to poor bed levelling and lack of options to manually adjust the bed. I am in the middle of a return process with Creality. You guys who say “you can fix it”.. Well, I could fix it too, but I am not supposed to fix a brand new printer. Yeah I have a k1 and it came with an older extruder. Likely a 2nd or 3rd Gen extruder. I had no issues at all. I even bought the latest version extruder and tried it and had no issues as well. I will say the bed thing is an issue. I did have to do the shim mod and got mine to a 0.1mm deviance. So I got it almost perfect. I also rooted mine and I must say mine prints like a dream now. The only reason I am not upset is I knew what I was getting into and was OK with it as I like to upgrade and mod my stuff. Now for the reason I am ok with it.. The price. You can't find a core xy printer that is enclosed for the price here in Canada. So this printer is not for newbies or someone who wants to just print out of the box. And I got mine on a huge sale. But I must say I am disappointed with the fact that Creality did not fix those issues. They need to do better. I feel bad you ended up with a bad one. Better luck next time sir

:( I've had mine for 12 days of the 15 day return period. I've actually had good luck (COMPARED to other printers) but I also have rubbing on my top cover with patterns that are now burnished into it, I've had 5 clogs in those 12 days, and I've run into more makes that have ahd to be contorted, cut up or resized because the build plate is so damn small... I've been debating upgrading to a Bambu K1C or P1S - i'm really really torn because I've actully kind of fallen in love with the thing, how quiet it is, (it has a silent mode) and how easy it was to root it and do what i wanted to do with it.. that said, my trial and error frequency is off the charts... meanwhile Bambu printers exist and seeing the user experience basically cancelling out 99% of my past experience with 3D printers... I really think I should return mine too and get a Bambu. I'm so torn though because I now use it for recreation (mostly board game inserts and fun stuff) not for work anymore, so I don't NEED a K1C (or even a P1S) but I only paid $429 at microcenter and the P1S is $699-$999 (non-AMS vs AMS) Sidebar: Now the test print you have there is BONKERS bad, I've never had any any print remotely as bad as what you have there.

I have one. In the beginning, I did have a clogged extruder. It was a user error. I don't have the straight to make the bed leveling; I have it with my hands. So, I opt out of using HVAC tape for the left side of the bed. Since then, I have had no issues with the machine. I have printed over 200 pieces and used a range of filaments. I know they have the k1, k1 max, and k1c. For the cover issues, I could 3d print risers with hinges. My first printer was an Ender 3. It took me a month to learn about 3d printing and learn. I guess it all depends on your skill level. You are a skilled 3d person, but that machine may not fit your advanced skill needs.

@802Garage8 ай бұрын
@@markschoch9509 I think the X-Plus 3 is the more capable machine overall, largely because of the build volume and heated chamber. The 5M Pro bed size is significantly smaller overall and the X-Plus 3 has a little more height too. Price is $500 vs $630 and you might be able to get a small discount on either, so look for coupon codes. If you have the money, the X-Plus 3 has similar specs in all the ways that matter and those added capabilities. I'll add that Flashforge did release a stock Klipper implementation, but it doesn't seem well supported yet. Qidi still has their firmware totally lock to their Klipper implementation as far as I know. If you don't plan on tinkering like crazy though, that hardly matters. A friend just showed me some prints from their X-Plus 3 and it's definitely capable of extremely high quality. I personally would be between those two options over a Creality or Bambu Lab machine as well.

I think something is up with your printer... Mine out of the box has not had any of the issues yours is having with the extruder. I've had this thing printing 24/7 for the last week. I've had a few issues with it, mostly the issues are user error. My bed came stock almost perfectly flat, 3 edges were very slightly higher than the rest, but the actual measurement from the bed mesh graph is a total difference of 0.16mm, and the change is really right up at the edges where the increase in the Z axis begins. The other issue i had was with the bowden tube having too tight of corners, so i've removed it from the chain and printed a riser and the issue is resolved. The tube is rubbing on the cover, i just need another zip tie to prevent it. I think yours is due for an RMA! The first few prints did have some extruder issues making me think my Z offset needed a correction, but without any changes ever, its fixed itself and everything is perfect!

No I probably should not go Bambu, because I have a K1 Max that works fine and getting another one. I find it very odd that so many 3D printing KZbinrs feel the need to make a printer recommendation instead of suggesting people buy what suits their specific needs in terms of functionality and budget among other factors. Brands have become WAY too much of a focus. You also claimed someone did a breakdown 8 months ago, the K1C has not been out 8 months and you must be aware they have been revisions in the model over time, so what applied then is not true for a separate model that is a revision. I am not saying it is perfect, but I don't think what applied 8 months ago is still true in all cases was the point. I have seen people commenting on revised versions of the hot end for example. Instead of focusing on brands when deciding on a printer, focus on features. All brands have issues, find what works for your budget and the features you want, see what the community thinks because KZbinrs only offer their personal experiences which can vary quite a bit.

That, plus possibly belt tension, seems to be completely ruining your prints. Unacceptable.

The K1C is not without flaws though, but most of it is software related. Root it, do a proper input shaper calibration and free the bowden tube, then it prints flawless.

I ordered 2 refurbished k1' from ebay they turned out to be very early versions and all kinds of issues. Sent them back was refunded promptly. Ordered a new K1C from amazon. works great. printed out a first layer test . produced a smooth thin consistent sheet of PLA. Printer works good have had it in production for about 2 weeks now. Using ABS and polycarbonate. Using orca and 200-300 speed depending on the areas printing. Did adjust the rapit to 375. i just start the print and walk away. Its basic physic's even if the printer will run at 600 you are going to have some misprints and wear out the printer much faster. I understand hobbyist like to tinker. But example the vibration testing is set to an estimate on the X this is probably due to the hot end being so light they cant get consistent data so they set it to an average. The extruder well the video producer is only showing you half the assembly the other half has a bulk head to create a thrust surface. I'm sure many compromises were made for cost, weight of the component's to support speed and even shipping weight. My biggest issue with this thing is the unicorn proprietary nozzle is only available in 0.4. Is the bamboo better maybe I dont have one to compare. Ps get ready for when those carbon rods fail.

whats especially crazy about this is the whole reason this printer was made was as a "quite" fix for the K1's extruder issues. Creality is such an all over the place company. They obviously have the manufacturing chops and I have a butt ton of their machines (modded) in my farm. Wow, you got a lemon...perfect prints right out of the box, none of your issues. No rubbing on top, top fits good, not tight like yours, magnets work great. Bed was aligned. Getting much better prints than yours. I am fairly new to 3D printing, so far I have smooth prints, even better running at 80-90% speed. No banging...seriously you got a lemon, try another K1C.

can't understand you haven't fixed the way to calibrate the printer .after earlier releases of both k1 and k1 max . crooked bed is not a problem if you have tolerances that are within 3mm tolerances for the company. then I also think how many of the other parts must jump so much in tolerance. have a k1 and was not a purchase intended for me to spend time fixing or rooting the machine. so I hope that they issue corrections in the firmware themselves. I must then survive to correct a little so that it does not constantly have to overcompensate in mess bedleveling and unnecessary wear and tear on other parts.

Unfortunately a lot of issues are in the extruder, and I do not want to beta test different extruder designs for them as a paying customer. I'll gladly help design better parts if they want.
@Toughbeard9 ай бұрын
The issue is this printer is not a bamboo replacement. and the fault of course is Creality's because it is advertised as such, but in reality it is an upgraded Ender. When you use is like that everything works fine. instead of printing at 25 to 50mm/s you can now do 100 maybe 200 if you are daring, but I prefer to finish the print rather than gamble on finishing fast. I ordered the 2.99 USD Vanguard upgrade for the printer as I had it preordered (I have a K1) and ever since I installed it it runs perfectly fine....My s1 Pro runs perfectly fine too, this just has an enclosure. The tube routing is terrible, I fixed it by removing the tube from the cable manager. I will be building a top raiser for clearance (annoying). For the price its un beatable. Where I am at bamboo is 3 times more expensive. I think the problem is High Expectations are Colliding with Creality Product Quality.

He wants to desperately knit pick and find fault. Opening the extruder and saying the gears are not aligned is utter foolishnes. Its basic common sense to understnad only if you put back the housing it will align without movement. Imo creality has flaws which are easily fixable. it is very good for hobyists who cannot chuck more money to go with Bambu.

DUDE YOU JUST HATE CREALITY :) I HAVE K1C AND I GET PERFECT FIRST LAYER MY EDGES ARE PERFECTLY FINE. iMAGINE I JUST PRINTED A DOOR KEY THAT I SCANNED IT WITH MY RAPTOR SCANNER AND FUCK YEAH ITS WORKING TO OPEN THE DOOR. SERIOUSLY BUT I DONT THINK YOU GOT THE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE TO BE ON THE SEAT THAT YOUR HAVING. YOU SHOULD TAKE IT MORE EASY IF YOU BARELY DISCOVERED MODELING. THERE ARE MANY PRINTING ISSUES BECAUSE OF BAD MODELING ASWELL. IF YOUR A CRAPPY MODELER THAT DOES NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT MESH I WOULD NOT BE SUPRIZED IF YOU GET ERRORS FROM A PERFECTLY WORKING PRINTER. I JUST HATE TO SEE FLYS TELLING BEES HOW TO MAKE HONEY.

I have nothing but bad experience with k1c, its halve baked product! Lit fals off, software is bad, the app is even worse! No great online support the dont know nothing about any printer they always gonna report to somelse and nothing happens. The app is more about buying premium and cuvacoins then making printing easy from everywhere.

interesting 1. top cover problem - dude, stop doing this excoriated shit. It is thigh fit, but it's easy to take off. Not like you are showing it. Rubbing is the real issue. True 2. Extruder problems? What? maybe they have fixed something later on, had zero problems 3. bed level is no issue. mine was less than 0.33 I would also return if I had this kind of shit

this ugly graph on the X-axis is probably due to the reduced rigidity of the frame (in the plane of the door). it is probably necessary to place some clamps between the ends of the door and the frame to increase the rigidity of the structure.
