If you have to choose between a K1C Refurbished for $280 vs A1 $340. Which you think can give better quality and be more reliable.

I appreciate your honesty. Got K1 on Amazon for about $320. I think it's worth it. Let's hope it has upgradet extruder.

Thanks! The K1 will be great for you, is this your first printer?
@GoranTadic-rp5czАй бұрын
@@EmbraceMaking Yes it is. Your channel will be of great help. I am glad they are still makers out there who are not Bambu religion fanatics.
@EmbraceMakingАй бұрын
That's great, the new slicer will make your life a lot easier as I described in the video. I do also have two Bambu A1 and two of the P1P and there are pros and cons to every model still. The P1P didn't really impress me that much given all of the hype - don't get me wrong it's very good, but the K1C is on par but just way less fanaticism around it. You'll love your K1C

The vertical artifacts were fixed from the firmware updates and the slicers I have a last gen k1 and after more then 9 months of use never had a problem I did ad a camera and did root the printer took of the stupid drag chain and printed a lighter fun duck only upgrades I did . Nice video

I think many were hesitant to get a K1C because most people wanted what would otherwise be "K1C Max" in a sense. All the upgraded features but with the Max's print size. The 300 squared (or with taller z) seems to be the new desired "standard" print volume overall, especially now that 1000x1000 printers are becoming a consumer-grade option.
@EmbraceMakingАй бұрын
Definitely. For what it's worth I do have the Max with the earlier extruder hot end and it's still going strong - I've logged a ton of hours on it... I don't know if the latest Max variant is shipping with the latest extruder and hotend but I'm pretty sure it is... so in that regard it kind of is the K1C max already... just that Creality doesn't do the best job with the printer naming conventions.
@DoogleraiaАй бұрын
@@EmbraceMaking Yeah they tend to do a lot of revisions and not mention it or offer it to backwards-compatibility support for older versions
@EmbraceMakingАй бұрын
Yep that is true. Revision control on their end is not the best lol

Can the k1c print pa-gf?

why don't you check the official website that list all the specs and features of their models?

Great Review as always, but I'd like to see it being used for its intended purposes such as printing PETG CF, ASA CF and Nylon CF to see how it performs. I have only see people print PLA CF on the printer. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
@EmbraceMakingАй бұрын
Thank you David! I think one of the reasons you usually see PLA-CF is that it sticks well to the print bed. I have some PETG-CF that in retrospect I could have shown. Nylon based materials don't stick well to the PEI print surface so I know that would be a big challenge, and I think I have some ePA-CF that may or may not work... Might make a good second video 😉
@davidmurray199254Ай бұрын
@@EmbraceMaking that makes a lot of sense. I look forward to seeing you test it further. I intend to get one for making car parts from ASA CF.
@EmbraceMakingАй бұрын
Right now I don't have any ASA or ABS with CF as the smell really bothers me with those two. I do print a lot of PETG-CF on the K1 max that has the original hotend and I put a hardened steel nozzle on it. Haven't had a problem with it and I've logged a ton of hours on that printer so the K1C should be more or less the same

Looks like they copied a lot of design elements from the Bambu Labs X1C

There is definitely some of that meme: "hey, can I copy your homework?" ..... "Sure, just make sure it doesn't look like you just copied it" sort of thing going on here lol

Junk again. IMO. All printers are great. But without software support...ie...profiles.... the machine is junk. Anycubic is just as bad. Anyone can put together a printer. I have a few for years until I went Bambu. I now don't make excuses like its settings here settings there..because of this because of that..i tried so much to justify all my old printers... I'm glad i don't have to make excuses now.. pass.
@JoseEduardo-dg2ki9 күн бұрын
My brother i christ, someone have to make the profiles. Either you do it, and use any filament, or you use the manufacturer's profile as a crutch, and be "locked down" to a specific manufacturer filament. (I know you can always make your own profiles later)
@20cent3 күн бұрын
Dunno what you're babbling about. This is my first printer, got it 2 weeks ago. I've printed few dozens of models since without any issue using the stock software and built-in profiles. Without touching any settings. Even the best tool can't make you an artist, you're probably the junk element here. IMO.
@nick40883 күн бұрын
@20cent bad prints are not good prints if you keep telling yourself it's good. Stay junky. I'm just letting you know. Don't upgrade since you can't take criticism and stay attacking someone's intelligence just like woke people attack others. I hope you stick with them and keep saying they are great.
