Oh good God! The most engaging, inventive and creative Ted ever. As an artist I am overwhelmed and enlightened and now sprinting to my studio…the greatest thanks for sharing your grace.

This ted talk was legendary. I'm studying Kentridge so i'm new to his production, but damn... this video made a lot of things clearer to me, even ongoing conflicts i had inside my own self.

Greatly enjoyed this and he has further stoked my desires to see at least some of Africa with open eyes.

Can anybody please what is saying at minute 11'39" please ? Just the beginning of the phrase, I can't hear well what has to be in the polyphony and the caos of fragments coming together. Thanks ^^

I appreciate complex topics as much as the next person but he's pretty consistent in both his presentation as well as his art with making it "just a flurry of confusion". I get the feeling people are wooed by the big words and illusion of complexity he's throwing down. The animatic seems like it is joking about Africa rather than giving more sincere snapshots.
@ishikakinzel29813 жыл бұрын
I think the flurry of confusion might be exactly the picture of Africa he is attempting to understand, the history is confusing, the perspectives through which history was told creates this unstable uncertainty, what is Africa? that's the question he asks and his work shows the attempts to find an answer, he does not say he as an answer, in a sense this is a question with hundreds of DIFFERENT answers, that is the nature of the splintered continent with a multitude of experiences all which are wholly subjective.
