Oh man, I love Siouxsie (and the banshees) but for reasons unknown I have never checked out The Creatures. Thanks for this video, it is a great motivator for me to right my wrong and dive head first into their music. Looking forward to all your Siouxsie vids! My absolute fave is Juju, btw.

Nice pick and review! Sky Train was such a menacing track for me, with Siouxie’s wailing voice and my highlight of the record. Wild Things and Feast were definitely contenders amongst the Banshee best work for sure.

First heard Siouxsie on a documentary in 1976 and a John Peel BBC session in 1977! She is up there with P J Harvey and Kate Bush a unique artist who to me never had the plaudits! The Creatures issued a double pack single Mad eyed Screamer Fantastic it charted? 😆 The Banshees, Creatures and solo stuff all magnificent in different ways! Great 👍

It was initially hard getting into The Creatures as a teenage Siouxsie fan. It wasn't until my mid twenties when they finally clicked. Juju is still my favorite project she worked on though.

Punk was over and Siouxsie has moved on when this came out; I bought the cassette in the UK at the time. i have the first single as well. I think all the tracks are available on the Bestiary of compilation which is great and easier to find. Budgie's drumming is fantastic. It isn't really of a genre hence it hasn't dated at all.

@@gharris2389 Absolutely right, there’s no way to categorize this. It’s in its own time and space.

I saw the Banshees on the tour that became the Nocturne album. I would have loved to have seen the Creatures live; assuming it would have been a more intimate gig with just the 2 of them

Wow, that’s awesome! I never saw them live, they were a bit before my time.

I'll be honest, in regard to a lot of The Creatures' stuff, I just haven't given a lot of it a fair shake, and I love Siouxie as a performer. Boomerrang was decent, but I only know that one well.
