Anytime you can fish with the “Slab Queen” it’s a good day! Hopefully, taking care of CB and baby sister, when she arrives, won’t take up ALL of Jay’s fishing time! 😊

Well 60 Crappie definitely fun to catch. This trip reminds me of most of the lakes in my Area . Usually 1/10 ratio is my keep rate. Sometimes I’ll get lucky and get a 1/5 ratio. If I keep more it’s because there is no size limit. Regardless looks like had great day together. That’s what it’s about. When is your baby due again? Jay looks like she starting to show pretty good in the tummy. Enjoyed the content

Are you able to run the boat lanes from the north side all the way to that location now that they've reworked them? Nice fish!!!
@COLE_and_JAY
@COLE_and_JAY Жыл бұрын
Not exactly haha. You can limp straight across to the trail on the west side and then run it most of the way. I hit a stump in the middle of the reworked stuff last week launching from Lawrence. But the water was also lower than normal winter pool
@COLE_and_JAY
@COLE_and_JAY Жыл бұрын
If you were to launch at GC and go left under the bridge towards LL I would not run that section. It’s shallow, stumpy and sketchy

Great video. Was thinking about buying the new 6’6 1 piece ACC Crappie spinning rod for 1/16 oz jigs to cast a long distance. Would this rod be ideal for that?
@COLE_and_JAY
@COLE_and_JAY Жыл бұрын
If you want longer casting distance I would recommend the 7’6” Medium! The longer rod helps you make longer casts. You can cast the 6’6” a good way out, but if you’re looking for extra distance, go with the 7’6”! They’re both awesome rods!!

Well looks like there about gone. I haven't been over there in 4 weeks. I figured the fish were about all caught out of there. You take 100 people a weekend it won't take long to wipe them out. Glad y'all atleast cought the last few left lol. What scares me are the people that keep allot of them little ones and sneak them out. Not good for the lake. Hope theres not allot of that.

If you want to catch real slabs, go to Lake George, Fl. Bass capital of the World. Slab crappie in the 4lbs. range. Some at 4.5 lbs. Bass over 10 lbs. are common. The true meaning of bigins. Great catfishing too. Take the boat when you go. Jay, would love you for it!
