That kidnapping story makes me shiver. One day when I was around 12 or 13, me and my family were helping our grandmother clear out her house of junk and old furniture. Then this random car pulled up in the driveway. A guy of about 25 or so got out of the car and had a box of baseball cards in his hand. He came over my little sister (5yrs old at the time), tried to get close, and was trying to hand the cards to her. I saw all of this, called out to my sister and came over. He saw me, dropped the cards, ran to his car and sped off. I grabbed my sister and held her tightly while screaming for our parents. Both of us were crying and terrified. That was one of the scariest moments of my life, because if I hadnt been paying attention, I could have lost my sister that day...

Some random guy was watching my daughter & then just took off (on foot) with her. Luckily my son was outside with her because he ran after them screaming. As a result, that guy dropped my baby girl & took off. (My son was nearly abducted by weirdo in some dark work van while I ran inside to get his juice. I was back outside within under a minute. The guy took off. This was about 3 yrs prior in a different town.) My son is now 25 & my daughter is about to turn 21. 😊 Gotta be careful.. you never know what could happen. Have a great day. 😊

The story of Amy Bradley has been covered extensively. What concerns me the most is that cruise ship companies utilize the registrations of their corporations in small Caribbean countries to the benefit of lower taxes in conjunction with circumventing the laws of the US. Every square inch of these cruise ships are surveilled with cameras and their rights to NOT share the critical information regarding missing people is unconscionable!!! We have seen it play out not only with Amy Bradley, but also countless others that have “disappeared” on cruise lines. If these cruise line companies were prohibited from filing their corporations on these Caribbean islands, LE as well as the FBI would have complete access to the most critical data available to them regarding missing people. But cruise liners exploit the laws to their full advantage leaving families reeling from horrendous tragedy that no one could possibly imagine. Only to “protect” the cruise lines from liability as well as protecting their reputation for safety among their ships.
@Inufan337 Жыл бұрын
Aye, and the "Flag of Convenience" stuff causes problems beyond just this frame as well. Multiple shipwrecks that were investigated by agencies like the NTSB found that the ships lacked safety measures that are required under US (or similar) law but are skirted by registering elsewhere with lighter or even near-nonexistent naval regulation.

Yeah... Antoinette's sister keeping quiet for fear of "getting in trouble" is something I understand. Sometimes when an extremely young person witnesses a dreadful event, they actually have no reference point/experience and don't grasp the full picture of the situation. Instead all they know is that something very wrong occurred and worry that they will be associated with it ("get in trouble"), and may try to hide the truth in order to distance from it. This is why it's important IMO to let kids know they WON'T be in trouble if they are transparent about the range of experiences they may have. I also think it's important to educate children from a young age (without traumatising them of course), by warning them of what to look out for. As an adult woman, I can say that being a little girl isn't always easy in this world and children are VERY vulnerable and NEED to be protected.

Sometimes alcohol is involved - if there is a body of water nearby, that’s where the missing men tend to end up. Guys standing to pee is actually a design flaw - when drunk, a guy peeing into a river or lake experience a drop in blood pressure, especially if it’s cold out. It’s not always an issue, but sometimes the drop is enough to cause the guy to pass out. Due to leaning forward, arms in front etc, the body falls forward. Into the water. Think of how many guys you spot in alleyways late at night with their hand against the wall or even their forehead, as they’re black-out drunk and don’t want to fall over into their own piss.

cruise ships are scary. i remember me and a friend being stalked back to our room from the club by a man who was hella persistent in getting my heavily intoxicated friend back to his room despite the fact we were borderline RUNNING (also drunkenly falling) up the stairs to get away from him and he even stood outside our door trying to get us to open the door until i screamed at him to leave or i was calling security. so i 100% believe amy was trafficked and is either dead now or so throughly brainwashed into acceptance that she just accepted her life as an escort.

This is a great series, if you plan to continue. Each story was told perfectly well and with great detail. It also helps to keep alive stories where cases have become cold. My brother was killed in 2005 by two guys, and till this day, those 2 guys have never been caught and his case remains a cold case. They found the gun however the fingerprints did not match anything in the system, the cameras nearby were too grainy to identify anyone. Not having closure, is not easy. So, yes, please tell stories like these. You are doing so much for the families and friends when you do so because you are keeping the story of their loved ones alive. ♥♥♥

I've heard of this, too! I can't remember what it was called but I would imagine if someone googled her name, they would eventually find it if they need the group's assistance. I watched a documentary about cases like hers and am totally turned off of cruises now. Basically no one is responsible for crimes at sea, no one wants to take charge of the investigations.

What’s so sad is that head injury probably caused his behavior. My son was a bouncer in college & got hurt on the job, smacking his head on concrete. The days following it, his behavior was strange. Amy’s disappearance is suspicious AF, they weren’t willing to help until they were forced to act. It really sounds like she was killed by one of the men she rejected and thrown overboard, obviously a complete guess but that’s just the feeling I get, or she was trafficked. Either way, it’s a horrible fate, especially knowing the military man just didn’t help her.
@ABRAsylum Жыл бұрын
I think her being trafficked is more likely. The fact that many of the crew members took an interest in her indicates to me that there was some kind of operation going on between these employees.

Not suspicious at all. The company doesn't want to take any legal responsibility that something bad happened to one of their customers. It happens all the time with businesses and doesn't indicate that there's some massive conspiracy about a trafficking operation.

The witness in Amy's case says she saw her with the bassist and then he was alone, and her brother says the bassist apologized to him before anyone else knew. I think there's a good chance that she was SA'd/ attempted SA'd and hurt and threw overboard by the crew, either the bassist alone or him with cover. I think many of the stories over the years are likely the same false reports a lot of missing persons cases get. I seem to recall the Jazz pictures have been confirmed to be an entirely different woman.

I don’t want to be that person, but parents have sold their children before. Happens all the time honestly. Would have been easy enough for the mother to tell two hired men to call themselves “Uncle Joe,” knowing her daughters would recognize and trust that name. Would also be very easy for the mother to tell her 5-year-old to keep quiet. I think at that age, a child is cognizant enough. She’s too old to just “not be aware” of what was happening. She did indicate she was worried about getting in trouble, but to me that seems she was more worried about getting in trouble with her mother, than with the kidnappers. Also, a spending spree after your daughter’s disappearance? That’s sus. Again I’d hate to throw shade at the now deceased mother of an abducted child, but js it’s not impossible.

@@username-mk4qv Yeah! Well my brain didn't even think of THAT theory. You could be right Username unfortunately ⭐
@llsher5210 Жыл бұрын
@@username-mk4qv there's definitely something a little off about the whole thing. 5 years old is certainly old enough to remember and be cognizant it was a big deal. Kids that age maybe won't fess up if they stole a cookie or something but in my experience they'll crack when they know they're in way over their heads with something like this. It's a natural inclination to unburden themselves to a trusted adult, IF they have one, that's a helluva secret to keep for years. I wondered the same thing, if the sister hadn't been instructed to keep quiet.

young Antoinette was likely alive for many years under the control of her captors- she may have been killed by them after a certain point, or by a “client”, but it’s equally likely she died from something like an overdose, or an acquired illness. Many trafficking victims turned into addicts by their captors as a way of controlling them- those who enslave other people usually don’t want their victims to die, but the risks of bringing a sick victim to hospital are greater than ‘financial loss” they will face upon losing the victim. it’s horrible, and made so much worse because we will probably never know what happened.

Amy's story always haunts me. Either way, it's so tragic. I do hope she is found one day, but 30 years being trafficked would be just as horrible as being murdered in my opinion. Thankfully, it seems she has a wonderful, loving and supportive family , that I'm sure, would be overjoyed and do anything they could to help her recover. Sorry to be so morbid, it's just every time I hear her story, it gets in my head a bit and I just feel for her and her family. Also, the falling overboard just doesn't make any sense at all.
