Probably my favorite Froning performance. At this point in the games he NEEDED to hold off Fraser. I was in the stadium, and can still see him raising his arms to pump up the crowd from the view from my seat. LEGEND!!! I became a die hard Froning fan at that moment. What a feat.

I just watched the whole 2014 Games again and am amazed at how they talk constantly about Noah & Josh, and rarely mention Mat, even though he was first coming into Saturday night's event, had many top 10 finishes., and is only 5 points behind Froning after this event.

jhssuthrnmama not only that,they concentrate so much on the favorites, when someone different wins they don’t know until they cross the finish line. So embarrassing

Johannes Essentially the kid had mostly been doing high volume weightlifting around this time to prep for the Games. Not as much cardio as the athletes do today.

CLB got a no rep from her helicopter judge on her GHDs. He was the guy shadowing Froning's sit ups while everyone else was a bit away so they could judge the whole movement. Not sure if this was a factor for her.

To everyone out there ... They are NOT on steroids as excessive testing is done and a person on steroids can NOT do a pull up or muscle up as there body weight would be too heavy.

Are roids legal in crossfit?
@Nashzord10 жыл бұрын
Not legal, but testing is garbage. You can safely assume that most of them are on PEDs, specially women. Also, it's not optimal, in a marketing point of view, to bust top level guys like Rich and cia. I think they are working on their testing politics and tech (CF is pretty new) but nowadays it's a joke
@denisflinn39528 жыл бұрын
sure looks like it, eh?
@denisflinn39528 жыл бұрын
merces47letifer LOL. If the Olympics can't stop PEDs from running rampant, CrossFit can't. And your personal attack is irrelevant and inaccurate.
@2five38 жыл бұрын
what makes you think they use PEDs they dont look like they do
@denisflinn39528 жыл бұрын
PEDs are an essential part of any professional sport. We like to think athletes are somehow above it, but it's often an outright necessity to survive the rigors of their schedules. Plus, the whole concept of what constitutes a PED is in itself an interesting topic. Beta Blockers help with stress - and wouldn't remaining calm in a stressful situation be a drug-induced performance enhancement. People wrongly associate PED with roided out freaks. It's far more complex
