Knowing how strict the Navy Seal are, Im pretty sure Lt. Murphy did not do his pull ups that way. I know in the Marine Corp, if we kip at all, pull ups doesnt count. still, its great that they honor a hero this way. Just wish they would do it the right way

This isn't the marine corps 🤷
@ClockCutter7 ай бұрын
The Marine Corps used to allow kipping for PFT tests and daily PT. Almost everyone kipped their pull ups. Only one or two people in a platoon (an infantry platoon mind you) would actually do strict pull ups. IIRC, that was changed in 97. The Navy was probably also permitting kipping pull ups when Murphy entered active service. I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing all 100 with kips.

@mogadsh9 жыл бұрын
+eunicko In every endurance sport there is, people eat and drink during the event. Don't see the problem.
@TrueRahf8 жыл бұрын
+eunicko Late response here. Given the weather and tremendous perspiration the athletes are experiencing, it is very likely Bridgers is taking a rehydrating supplement-- a "salt pill". Simply drinking water would not replenish the necessary salts and electrolytes that have been lost through sweating.
@KeithGreenshields3 жыл бұрын
The no rep judging is not right, you see it on the pushups with the leader and now with others on the squats. Here Matt Fraser is robbed at 30:32, 32.11 Some of the judges should not be there, they make the contest uneven for these athletes.

@detonate8 жыл бұрын
That's NOT a one mile run. I measured it on maps and it's about 0.6 miles. It's impossible for these men and women to run a mile in 6 minutes. That's 10 mph and they are clearly jogging. Fastest man did a mile in a little less than 4 minutes, fastest woman did a mile in a little over 4 minutes, fastest 5k runner does a mile in about 5 minutes average. These athletes are wearing weighted vests, carry a lot of body weight, running in high heat, and are preserving energy to do the other workouts, yet they "finished a mile" in 6 minutes.
@KP-mp2ij7 жыл бұрын
