The list of athletes by country really doesn't speak the truth - yeah, looks impressive for the US and all, but consider how many spots there are to qualify if you are a crossfitter of thousands in the US vs. if you are of of thousands of crossfitters in Europe... It would be great if the qualifying spots for the games were a percentage of crossfitters in that region. Would make it much more fair, imho. Especially since the sport is catching on so much outside of USA (Brazil f.e., or Germany)

if you do that , you'll have a ton of crossfiters from South America and other countries in the first heat only...

Why isn't it possible to cut those waiting screens out of these videos? That's not really a lot of work but would be much more practical...

It could have been better If some competitors hadn't used bounce when they deadlifted.

I'd be very interested to see a athletic commissioned CrossFit Games. So many of these men and women are juicing.

The form on the overwhelming majority of Games competitors' speed deadlifts make me cringe big-time. It's embarrassing, really. The athlete should be looking straight ahead, not down, the shoulders back and the torso vertical. The fact that the Judges are not positioned at the side of the competitors speaks volumes. (And seeing as there's a tradition of naming events after fallen US military personnel, maybe some of the exercises could be named after competitors. You know, such as the 'Bridges Deadlift'. LOL)
@nickv60628 жыл бұрын
Head/ neck should be neutral when deadlifting. Ie. Looking down when the bar is on the ground, looking straight ahead when the bar is at the hip. Just sayin...
@maulstar18 жыл бұрын
Vertical torso? No one on earth deadlifts with a vertical torso. Can't hold shoulders 'back' shoulders position is just in line or just in front of the bar.
@nickv60628 жыл бұрын
+maulstar1 what would you call it when your stood up with hips locked out. Doesn't really matter but at that point their torso is vertical right?
@maulstar18 жыл бұрын
+NickVeale Bartending oh yeah, 100%. That's vertical, or as close to as to not matter. This guy made a lot of mistakes in his critique, so I just assumed he was talking about maintaining a vertical torso throughout the lift. But if he's just taking about the finish position then he's right of course. But most of these lifts, however ugly, are finished locked out and 'vertical' in my opinion? So I don't see it as a valid criticism.
