No repping Camille was a terrible call! To say someone hasn't hit depth in an Olympic lift is crazy, especially when people are being given reps for press outs. I love crossfit but it's shit like that which gives it the bad name. If you're using Oly lifting in an event, use Oly lifting rules. Camille will have way more experience performing a snatch than that judge; she knew what she was doing!
@favrobin9 жыл бұрын
Mark Perkins its a squat snatch, you don't squat deep enough to get the rep, you don't get it?
@cantUseMyNicks9 жыл бұрын
Mark Perkins I don't know if it's about the depth. Isn't it about catching the weight below parallel? Cause the 2nd rep was definitely deep enough.

Robin Favretto Pressing out a snatch is also a no rep. You can't pick and choose rules from a sport.
@favrobin9 жыл бұрын
Joanne Cookham of course you can they never pretended do olympic snatches or the depth woudlnt be a point to respect! On the other rep John Smith she gets no rep for not showing control on the bar at the top of the rep! The squat snatch can be performed by power snatching then squating it! The judge did her job where other judge would have had fear to take such a position wich everyone should respect. Sorry for my bad english :)
@jasonwood38489 жыл бұрын
Mark Perkins Felt so bad for Cami, I was there watching all the girls doing the snatch ladder, this no rep is definitely the most questionable one :(
Concerning the Camille ''no rep'' check out later at 1:53:58: On the back and left of Michele Letendre when she crosses the finish line, you can see the same judge Camille has before giving a very very late and unsure ''no rep'' to Cassidy Lance. I think it proves that the ''no rep'' call was a bad call from the judge.

Also, on the Fittest On Earth movie of the 2015 Crossfit Games at 43:47, there is a great pov of Camille doing her second attempt of her opening snatch : her posture and movement is close to perfect. But she got no repped.

The judge should be fired for sure who gave Camille 2 no-reps. One just don't give 2 straight noreps. So many other women didn't get the depth that camille got on these lifts, but they weren't norepped. You need to judge everyone the same way, fck. I guess she personally didn't like Cami.

Agree with that. Moreover I have to add that someone want that Brooke Ence enter to the podium. She has done some reps that, based on the Camille's reps, must count as no reps. Please someone should speak very LOUD and so something against that judgement! The first rep is obvious no rep but the other 2 no reps? Is this a f*cking joke? This is not serious! Apart from that, we have to admit that Camille is not in the best shape. There are many ladies out there with more potential this year.
@jocookham48109 жыл бұрын
Xavier I. F. Somebody behind the scenes has been pushing for Brooke Ence from the start of her career. Don't get it and I would not be to sure to trust she is not on the juice looking at her build. When a woman gets serious chest striations anabolical agents are involved
@fitman849 жыл бұрын
Joanne Cookham Absolutely agree with you. Take a look at Brooke Ence video that Crossfit has put in its channel. You see that, then see some of her performance as in CLEAN & JERK (kind of event where steroids effects are more notorious) and someone can make some "dark" conclusions...

+Joanne Cookham I'm a bit late to this but Dave Castro is truly a piece of shit...the same way he's been victimizing Ryan Fischer his relatinship with Camille has gone badly....Camille didn't do anything wrong of course but something very fishy has been going on behind the scenes.Even when Camille won the open they were not hyping her up at all.This further cements my belief and many people's beliefs of how cultish and communist the powers that be are in crossfit.If you dare point out a little flaw in programming or if you dare appeal a no rep etc etc then you're fucked for life.You end up getting victimized for life and I hope that is not what is happening to Camille.I love crossfit as the training methodology,mainly coz its plain old strength and conditioning that was just given a brand name...Ive been doing ''crossfit'' way before it was ''crossfit'' but after Glassman claimed it to be his and brought this incredibly arrogant Castro on board is when the weird cultish dictatorship began.

I wonder what Camille did to piss off Castro. I watched every one of her lifts the only one that was really questionable at all was her FINAL one and the judge had no problem with that one. Come on, do they get fired for calling out a judge or what?????

Everyone moaning about Camille being cheated, she wasn't in the top 20 before this, she had already lost her title, she was just waiting to see who to. The second no rep was still after the first half arsed squat which would have put her out of contention anyway. People really going to act as childish as her, I suppose she needed a certain fanbase. She was a nasty little woman who was vile to everyone this season because of arrogance, was nice to see her act up in the documentary because she was going to lose anyway, it just showed how entitled she is. The "they're mean because I'm a winner" was pathetic with the knowledge she wasn't winning anyway.

This particular event called for a "squat snatch" and no-repping CLB was in my oppinion a correct call. However, it makes absolutely no sense to call for squat snatching. Why not let the athletes snatch in whatever fashion they feel suits them. You would get a much more interesting event, and at the same time remove the potential for judge errors. Question: Many of the athletes seemed to receive the bar in (or dangerously close to), a power position and then lowered themselves into a squat. Does that qualify as a squat snatch?
@Kemaaaaa28 күн бұрын
Yes, in crossfit it does. Even doing a muscle snatch + OHS would count as squat snatch. That´s exactly why she got correctly no-reped twice.

I've watched every event in its entirety this week and i've seen countless no reps go un-punished in nearly all divisions of the Games!! Wall Balls not below parallel on the Teen Chipper, Pull Ups, not chin to bar on Murph, etc etc. I have passed the CF Judges course and have judged and competed in domestic CF Competitions where i live, i've been no-repped and i've probably made the odd error as a judge too, so i'm not painting myself perfect in any way.. I feel it is something that needs to be further looked into and worked on, maybe with more technology involved if feasible? All judges and referees in sport are subject to errors and omissions but the sport concerned must strive to do as much as possible to eradicate the chance of mistakes or the sport begins to look like a joke! Especially at its highest level! It will also be seized upon hungrily by the many haters and detractors of the Sport of Fitness who will further question the sports validity and this might deter newcomers from getting involved in this fantastic fitness program. Agree with the comments on steroids too, this also needs to be addressed as a matter of utmost priority for the same reasons as already stated above. Loving the Games, respect to all the athletes and staff and come on you Europeans today!!! Keep calm and CrossFit on!!
@isenstrider9 жыл бұрын
Pissouri Strength & Fitness Yes, if Crossfit wants to survive as a sport this needs to be adressed. And why not let the athletes snatch in whatever fashion they feel for. Calling for a squat snatch in an olympic lift (with weights that are SUB 1REP MAX) simply does not make sense.

Bobbie Moore I'd cry too a lot if it were me. After a year of hard work and that one mistake (her first snatch was not low enough), followed by incorrect judging as caught on video obviously... I feel for her. Considering that this should have been her event since she's also a weightlifter. Everything was just so fast. Personally, this would have affected my performance for the rest of the events but I bet CLB was able to pull through it. You wouldn't understand because a) CLB is a woman and from your name, you're a guy. We, women cry if we're disappointed and there's nothing wrong with it. Who are you to judge her anyway? You wouldn't know what's at stake for her. b) CrossFit is CLB's career and imagine being the defending champ of the sport you are in. This would definitely affect her career. c) just the thought of working really hard for this for years... I am speaking on behalf of a woman and an athlete who knows how it feels to have done a mistake in her sport once in her life and lost something.
