Sending love from the USA. I’m a Protestant, but I love the Orthodox Church. I would love to convert to the Russian Orthodox in my city. Jesus Christ is the only way to eternity…I’ve taught my sons about our Savior.

Emperor Nicholas the FIRST's granddaughter, Grand Duchess Olga Konstantinovna was married to King George I of Greece. Their descendent Princess Alexandra married into the Serbian Royal House.

I would love to see Tatiana married to Alexander, I think they would be a beautiful couple. I read he loved her a lot and became distress when the news of her death came.

Does anybody know if theres a picture of the cross St Nicholas wore on a daily basis?

So, what’s happening. There was a story a few months ago that the Head of the Orthodox Church in St Petersburg refuses to accept the DNA testing results and ordered the Royal Family’s remains to be removed and sent to Moscow until they workout exactly whose remains they are. The crypt in St Petersburg where the family was originally buried (minus Maria and Alexis whose remains had not been found at that time) is still there but empty.

Nicholas 11 left no known descendants so this chap cannot claim him as an ancestor. Maybe a collateral but on that point I'm not so sure. Have to look up the pedigree of this Serbian family. Paul the Regent married into the Greek royals...so what's link between Paul n this fellow

Nicholas the 2nd is not an ancestor of his. Nor is he crown prince of anything. His father was not king

The separation of Finland into an autonomous Grand Duchy, which was effectively under the protection of its own laws while in a personal union with the Russian ruler, was a beneficial and favorable solution for both countries. Unfortunately, the weak and foolish Nicholas II ruined all of this when he gave in to Great Russian chauvinistic agitation, which sought to end Finland's special status and assimilate it into Russia through national oppression. Before Nicholas II's foolish and immoral attempt to put all his eggs in one basket, Finns loved and respected their rulers. Who knows, if Nicholas II had been wiser, perhaps his descendants would today be reigning as the monarch of a Nordic Finland, even if a revolution had still overthrown the Romanovs in Russia.

I think to portray Emperor Nicholas as “foolish” isn’t fair. In my humble opinion, the same circumstances would have occurred no matter who was Emperor/Tzar. It was just too much for any Tsar/Tzar to overcome. Yes no one disagrees that it was tragic what happened to the children. The rumor is that none of them wanted to be separated. I get so tired of seeing everyone blame the UK and King George for not rescuing the family before things got bad. Well here’s my 2 cents: 1. Russian Imperial family had many relatives in other countries, such as Denmark, Greece, etc…

Nikolai II was entirely the wrong ruler for the multi-ethnic Russia of 1917. He would have been better suited as a family man in England. His treatment of Finland was a prime example of this. He didn’t realize that by yielding to the demands of the Great Russian chauvinists, he turned loyal subjects against the monarchy. The role of a monarch is not to act as a nationalist tyrant against minorities. Nikolai I and Alexander II and III understood this, but Nikolai II did not.
