Interestingly enough, the dogfish at 39:36 in italian translates to "pesce cane", which is a synonymous to "grande squalo bianco", meaning "great white shark", so it's very likely that the myth was born due to a literal translation from italian

My hometown... What lives in Payette Lake? In Idaho folklore, Sharlie is the name given to a sea serpent much like the Loch Ness Monster that is believed by some to live in the deep alpine waters of Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho. Great job as always. Thank you for this.

You know what scares me the most? That some cultures have almost exactly the same creatures/monsters without those cultures interacting which each other for centuries. So how they know about the same monster??? For example La llorona and a Banshee are almost the same thing, but both originated from different cultures and countries, why they are the same creature???

I think some of it is because we're not prey animals, but our over-active imaginations often conjure images or concepts based in the same basic fears/anxieties. It still happens in our modern age, albeit in different ways. Godzilla & the Hulk are both expressions of atomic age anxiety over nuclear war & the potential dangers of harnessing the power of the atom, for example. They manifest differently, but the same basic fear is at the core of those characters.

Not bad....but it needs a rewrite badly....you get a lot of the small facts wrong with too many of them to mention (though I'll mention a few...champ isn't 5 foot long...just its head and neck are 5 foot when they are visible out ofnthe water. The Chimera ....mixed with an echidna? Echidna weren't even discovered until Australia was colonised ...several thousand years after the birth of that particular legend. Though both Echidna and platypus were seen as chimera and the first stuffed specimens that were displayed in Europe were accused of being fakes, as such ridiculous animals could surely never exist in reality. Many ppl saw Australia as God's weird prototyping factory lol..... The Pascagula Aliens weren't 5 foot tall, and they also floated, plus the UFO was seen by a passing motorist from a completely different angle across the river, that came forward many years after the incident. The Sheriff secretly recorded the two men and you can listen to the recording online....you can hear the trauma and confusion inbtheir voices, and they weren't discussing keeping a fraudulent story straight...they were worried that they'd look like fools because of the true story that they had to tell...you can hear the sincerity and veracity in their voices...Also, the Rake started off as just another Creepypasta, from 2005 ....etc etc etc). You need to do a rewrite but pay a bit more attention to the small details, like measurements...and some needed a bit deeper dive, like the Pascagula Abduction (though I know it was supposed to just be a focis on the critters, but thats the kind of added detail that really makes the difference. The same.goes for the Mothman...you could have mentioned John Keel and the Mothman Prophecies and how the Mothman has psychic and phrophetic abilities eg the Bridge Collapse at Point Pleasant, which the Mothman was seen perched upon by a huge amount of eye witnesses a short time before it collapsed and killed 50 people....use a bit of common sense. Also some of the pronunciations were way off. It's not a bad list. You've done a pretty decent job on a very long vid that, I'm sure, was tedious to edit and painful to write and record dialogue for. You should definitely do a version 2...but go into slightly deeper detail and facts....some of the details and descriptions that you mention are a bit off or just incomplete...or there are better quick facts to choose for a particular critter. Overall...good job....but I'd love to see an improved version.
