I'm glad I watched this, because it gave me insight to the possibility that Deet is Kira's Mother, since Kira was originally Dee. It could be wrong, but a fun thought. It is possibly simply a nod to the original heroine however. I look forward to the second season of the show.

Right!? As soon as I saw Deet I turned this booklet open and was so happy how they used early concepts for more Thra storytelling.

Oh ya, and I would bet Kira is a descendant of the Vapra based on her skin color and hair color.

@@DarkCrystalConjunction I admit I thought the same thing. That's why I lean to the second thought, just a nod to Dee since Deet is Grot lol very different. Deet and Kira are just very similar. Both willing to sacrifice, gentle, and apparently very high affinity to animals and wildlife.

Hi! l have a copy of the 1978 treatment of "The Crystal" as shown in your video and am interested in having it valued. Can you offer any advice on how to do so from Qld Australia?

If it is original then it is extremely rare. From what I've heard (and I think it says it in the early 2000 reprint) there was less than a dozen or two facsimiles of that known to be around. As far as pricing I have no clue. I don't collect on that level. :)

With a pitch you are kinda just setting it up and selling the world and the initial story,... that part is more of what is revealed at the end of the movie so I'm not surprised you don't get it in the pitch.
