I'm old enough to remember the Beehive being born out a reaction to the unstable hate Beyonce used to get for no reason. It's crazy she had a hate website before she had a fanzine. I remember being on the blogs and forums (primarily the Black ones) defending Beyonce when I was in middle school. They would go low in their attack of Beyonce and the Beyonce Stans (as we were derogatorily referred to back then) would go lower. Being a Beyonce fan at an early age really taught me that, no matter what, people will believe what they want about you if they hate you enough.

THIS !!!! I ALWAYS say the same thing . I too am old enough to remember the birth of the Beyhive. People really don’t realize that this level of fandom is a product of the hate that was spewed her way from day 1 and it only got worse when the original destiny’s child broke up and she did not fold and put out hits like survivor . She told y’all then that she would not self destruct and in her years to come she “STILL GON BE HERE!!” It’s not a cult . It’s a celebration of focusing and maintaining your goals no matter what is said !!. I am a man and I will say if Beyonce was a man things would be soooo different . Beyonce being a woman and more specifically a BLACK WOMAN in control and with the “mamba mentality “ of music … y’all were not ready for and it SHOWS!! The hate yall have in your heart towards her is a part of your spirit , not hers !! Be okay with someone shining . Be okay with a woman grinding . Be okay with a black woman winning!! If you are upset about this narrative please look inward. Now on a side note, people do praise her like she is Jesus Christ. She is NOT . But she is one of the GREATEST to ever do it!! Celebrate that whether she is your cup of tea or not and stop being weird !!!

I think she’s one of the last living true artists that lets her art speak for her. She doesn’t do much interviews anymore but she pours everything she wants to say and convey into her music. Based off interactions on twitter, her fanbase is pretty chill but you have those who do the most 😂. Aside from the greats like Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, and Tina Turner, have we really seen a black female artist on this level? While I do feel like some people try to live vicariously through Beyoncè, I think it’s the fact that a black woman is at the top of the industry and when I say top, I mean the top lol. Anything Beyonce says or does, it inspires something to be said or done. You can compare it to Michael Jackson as he too was a powerful force in music.
