This video confirms that education and socialization is critically important.
@venusawaken6656

feuriger Stern even that isn’t enough. It’s not enough to go to school where you learn to regurgitate what you’ve been taught (and taught what “they” want you to think). It’s not enough to socialize in a world where you have to be careful of what you say to anyone for fear of severe backlash from snowflakes that literally complain about everything one says. You must do your own research. You must surround yourself with like minded folks. Hold that knowledge within and share sparingly. With that, you can catch anyone off guard, always.
@SpitefulToast

@@venusawaken6656 Oh boy, any opportunity to insult "the snowflakes," eh? Education is a good thing, as is socialization. Your last three sentences sound existentially paranoid, like the act of living is a zero-sum game, and that you must find a hive mind in-group to live in. That's no way to carry on.

It is heartbreaking to watch Aisha. She seems like a very kind, gentle, malleable human being, so vulnerable. And even in the scene where they tell the reporter to leave, the other two women are shouting hateful nonsense and she politely waves her hand and asks the reporter to leave.

I’ve watched this doc too many times to count. The most triggering part to me is still 9:38 . The way she chuckles is like watching a reflection of myself and every abuse survivor I know of speaking of our own abusive parent’s delusions. Those two saviours were so right, it’s not because we think it’s funny (though usually we do even if just a wee bit), it’s because people make us feel crazy for believing the things these people told us while they had every semblance of power over us.

lol you talking about a very small percent of police the number of police to police death ratio is actually probably quite low for the population of the U.Sin fact a quick google search will show the number of police murders goes down each year since 1979 there were 114 police murders and 106 cops were murdered pretty even numbers now fast forward 2015 and only 49 police murders and 46 cops killed looking at these numbers I'd say we are doing better the number of police has increased by almost 400,000 so the fact they are killing less now says something about the 70's , I'm not really justifying wrongful death, however, to say there literally isn't one cop on the force that does good or makes a difference is as silly as me saying every cop is an angel.

There's more wrongful deaths of cops vice versa everyone wants to say that cops are racist etc but if you crunch the numbers cops are killed more by blacks then cops killing blacks I'm not saying cops don't fuck up but you got to put in perspective we have no idea what these cops go through on a day to day basis and what many people don't realize is body language is extremely important especially when dealing with cops and so cops may misinterpret someone's body language and a shooting can occur because they are going back to their experiences and may feel threatened because of past experiences I think not only should police procedure change but our behavior in dealing with cops should change as well when your in a high stress job all day everyday it's easy to eventually snap I deal with stupid people all the time and they piss me off imagine dealing with people giving you shit giving you attitude spitting in your face cussing disrespecting you all the time after awhile youre gonna develop a short fuse I'm not saying it's right and I think cops can be very incompetent and fucked up but there's still many good cops and I think people would wish they had someone to call in a dangerous situation if cops didn't exist we gotta look at both sides

Once you understand that when she laughs when it is not funny but she is upset, it is all the more distressing to watch. These women are all so broken in so many ways. They were manipulated, abused and used. Fear is terrible for what it makes you do to others or accept having done to yourself. I am glad they are out but damn, the level of punishment this man deserves for what he has done is unlimited. The police who sent her back to that hell have a lot to answer for as well.

It's disheartening to see so many rude comments or jokes bn made. Even the one still fighting for his release is an ongoing victim of systematic abuse& indoctrination. You can see it in their answers to questions, they're still unsure of his power, his possible reach. Sadly this is happening everywhere in someway. Abuse is rampant. Ask the questions, say hello, open ur eyes & speak up as many of the abused cannot yet find their voices...

I feel terrible, but she’s at that point in her life where no one should say “you’ve been brainwashed and didn’t do s**t your entire adulthood.” You can’t just ruin someone like that when they’re close-ish to the end. My father in law was dying of cancer and thought that he had a wonderful relationship with his wife. I knew they didn’t, in fact, she couldn’t stand him. We just let him think that rather than telling the truth because we wanted him to live out his remaining days happy with his own truth. He didn’t deserve to die unhappy with the actual truth. It’s not fair.

And now somehow whenever someone makes a choice, sympathy is completely unwarranted? People make choices for different reasons! And those reasons aren't always as clear-cut as you would like to believe with your simple Proclamation, dumbing it down to "but they made a choice". Smh

I grew up in a cult. In no way was it this extreme but there’s still many deep beliefs drilled into me that brought so much more anxiety and self doubt that I’m still sorting and trying to understand. Even now I’m still trying to figure out who I am and what I believe and if I believe it because I choose to believe it or if it’s the doctrine I grew up in.. it’s something you never really stop thinking about. It comes up in every choice you make tugging you back because it’s familiar but silently drains you spirit and you lose your sense of direction in your life..

@MissJessyeNorman
@MissJessyeNorman 4 жыл бұрын
They said that she's now quite close to her numerical age. She was delayed in this way when she first arrived. It makes perfect sense. She was deprived, abused and stunted in myriad severe, dramatic, overwhelming, heinous ways. To be disallowed from leaving one's home for 30 years?! That alone is pernicious intellectual, developmental, and social deprivation of a profound degree as to be wholly unfathomable by most. Speaking the truth of her process of healing does not reflect negatively upon her in ANY way. It WHOLLY AND SOLELY reflects negatively upon Bala first - and to a lesser degree, the adult members of the collective who made the abuse possible. He abused her, and caused her to have these delays, with which she is now forced to cope and fix. They say nothing about her cognitive abilities, how bright she is, etc. - as it's obvious she's sharp as a tack and coming into her own. The fact that she has been able to progress emotionally and mentally in a short span of time, is testament to her bravery, resilience, intelligence, intuition, insight, and dogged tenacity. THAT is what is hers! And these two lovely people are clearly responsible for fostering her development and healing. Kudos to all three!

By the time I started school (aged 6), I couldn't talk, could barely walk - not because there was anything wrong with me, but because of severe neglect and abuse. I had never been interacted with, never been taught to talk or walk, couldn't get dressed by myself, couldn't use the bathroom. I had never been taught basic life skills, and wasn't even allowed to do anything alone. Now I know that it was a case of neglect, but also of keeping me quiet, ie unable to tell anyone what was happening. Now you wouldn't guess if you met me, I'm of higher than average intelligence and have a talent for writing.

Dang, Scotland Yard and the police REALLY dropped the ball on this one at least 3 times. The dude that said "I'm keeping my eye on you" didn't know shit and obviously didn't do shit about it. It was a worthless warning. The investigatory powers were not at their finest. Someone should have asked why a grown adult "ran away from home" and if some bullshit excuse like "oh, she's mentally challenged" was used, a well fair check should have been employed multiple times over. I'm shocked at the inadequacy of the discerning powers that be. Being "stretched thin, isn't an excuse either. Absolutely shocking...

Despite all the insanity of the cult, his actions were pretty much textbook oppression. They completely fabricated a charge to evict tenants purely based on a different politically belief that, while extreme, wasn't directly violent or doing anything actually illegal. Then, somehow, even when it became clear that the charges were blatantly trumped up, they somehow stuck and still kicked them out. It's battling ideas by force rather than by rational argument and public education.

Very true, but look at all the people even on here saying anyone who joins a cult must be weak, feeble minded, gullible etc - this attitude is what's putting people off telling their story. I got heavily targeted by a cult called the Christadelphians when I was vulnerable as I had been trafficked, had everything I owned stolen from me etc and suddenly found myself all alone in a strange country (the UK) with nothing. And no, nobody helps you in that situation, police accused me of being a prostitute, support organizations accused me of lying! So, the Christadelphians could see how vulnerable I was - so they hit on me. They got mad as hell when they didn't succeed in converting me, and used mind games and gaslighting to try to make me join, going so far as to severely abuse me with accusations of me allegedly being schizophrenic, hallucinating, telling me I would end up not even in hell but in a state of non-existence and that only they would get saved etc etc. They even introduced me to people only for me later to find out that they were psychiatrists, who the Christadelphians had hoped would say "yes she's insane/schizophrenic" or similar. When this didn't happen, the Christadelphians continued to work on me, shouting at me that I was allegedly this "dangerous lunatic" and "should be locked up" etc - interestingly enough, a line that has been used by all abusive people towards me and is well known to be used by narcissists (abusers) towards their victims!!! They tortured my cat and nearly killed him!!! Despite all this I didn't join them - but I can't tell anyone now what this dangerous cult is like (and they are dangerous, they have "churches" in every city!!!) because I have already been accused of being "gullible, trusting, naive, easily led" etc. Which is strange since I did NOT join this cult, making these accusations kinda an oxymoron, but people are stupid and can't see what's right in front of them!

Personally, I think that most of us have a cult leader, and follower, inside us. Hopefully, those inner possibilities will remain firmly in the background. Not to mention, Jim Jones got nearly 1000 people to move to South America in the first place. So I guess it all boils down to how you're grading them.

They seclude the members from society on purpose, it's the one defining characteristic of a true cult vs a free religion. And they use the threat of exclusion or expulsion from the group as a way to compel cooperation OR they use other types of control measures to keep people from leaving. But, usually there is exclusion from contact with other members of the groups... children are often used as pawns... The Ammish do this very well. We are all susceptible to conforming for fear of being rejected and there is a need an purpose for this... however, cults exploit this natural sociologica/pshychological reality of the human condition.

Cults can be small with 20 members or big with 10 million members and more than one person running it. Remember no one who is in a cult will think they are actually in one even if they can see that other cults exist. To them they have the truth

I can fully understand a woman born into this mess, believing it. What I cannot understand is the grown women who chose to believe him at the start. It so incredibly sad how easily brain-washed they were!

God, I sincerely hope that SOMEBODY took mercy on that poor, pitiful moth/butterfly and eventually opened a window after filming it so it could, at least, have a chance to survive & be free. I do realize it was, however, a very good symbol/analogy for the imprisoned child & trapped, brainwashed women...🦋🍃

If Aisyah has ever come back to malaysia once she finished her studies, today she would become someone respected in the goverments. Sending your kids to study abroad especially Britian in the 70s means you're from wealthy and briliant background.

u knw she wont come back. Her family will all shun her and she would probably be put into 'rehabilitasi aqidah' so tht she'll become muslim again. Surprising how she was so gullible and became a communist. But of course there were alot of malay communists during the 60s, ppl tend to forget that.
