Electric has to be the best sounding record ever recorded. The mix is so bad ass.

Out of everything I grew up on (I graduated HS in 2017 if that gives you any idea what I've had to endure) this was the album for me. Billy kicked ass from start to finish, the rhythm section just sounded beautiful all the way through and of course that damn voice man. My chorus instructor had us to a solo day for extra credit if we all wanted to, but it had to be a song that she was comfortable with. She didn't account for the fact my best friend was the one that had to switch out the songs for the performers on her desktop and I had him put on "Wild Flower" instead of "Bridge over troubled water." She may have lost her shit on me, but everyone in class had a damn good time

No doubt!!! The Cults "Electric"album is one of the best rock albums ever!! It thumps!! Like you said, start to finish it is epic! The extended mix of "Wildflower" is better than the recorded album version! You should check it out!! It's the shit!!🎸 Rock on fellas!

The Cult is my favorite band of all time. From the Southern Death Cult to Death Cult and then finally The Cult. Best show I ever saw them play was when did played the entire Electric album for the first set then came back and played everything else at Austin City Limits.

I, too, was a senior in 1987. I went to a Van Hagar concert, in which, The Cult opened...I was blown away. I got my copy of Electric. I saw many high school parties that seriously ramped up when we through on that album...so much energy...I guess it has an appropriate title!

The reason The Cult's sound changed so much between their Love album and Electric album was collaborating with Rick Rubin and bringing him in as producer on the Electric album. They went more towards the "rock" sound which continued on in their next album Sonic Temple which had famous rock producer Bob Rock as producer

The first band I ever saw live was The Cult opening for Billy Idol in around 1984 or so,....they were awesome live. Saw them open for Metallica a few years later as well. Great library of music. For another reaction try MC5 - Looking at You (Live from Tartar Field)...great stage performance

i saw that tour too. 1986. first time I had a drink at a bar, pre-show. was still 17. The Cult rocked so hard. Billy Idol came on and everyone threw their shoes at him. He left the stage in less than a half-hour and never came back on.

Love The Cult! They were Southern Death Cult, then Death Cult, then got the right sound.

Nah, Death Cult was pretty great too. The riff on God’s Zoo is fantastic. They had fatter baselines back then too. Just a different sound but not worse.

Electric was awesome, but gotta be real.... Love is better. You (the white dude) are the audience they were looking for when they switched from Brit alternative to American metal.

@@GetSidewaysReacts and I knew even more metalheads who thought Electric was too raw and only joined after Sonic Temple which was even glossier and full sounding.
