Not knowing where you are at the moment, if you get a chance head out to Westpunt and try Jaanchie's restaurant. One of the best experiences I've had on vacation. Plenty of great diving on Westpunt too, can shore dive from Lodge Kura Hulanda. Worth the trip.
@SailingOneLife3 жыл бұрын
Ah we are in Colombia! Is Jaanchie's an Indian restaurant? We didn't manage to do any diving in Westpunt before we left but maybe time! Thank you for the recommendations!

Very nice video. If I ever cruise yo the Caribbean I will definitely visit Curacao. I been to Aruba, I reckon the people I Curacao and Aruba is probably very similar. You ended saying you were now sailing to South America, but did you know, all the ABC islands is actually in south America?
@SailingOneLife2 жыл бұрын
Ah interesting, you are right they are technically in South America! At the time I didn't realize that! Glad you liked this one!

I just learned Papaya is not a fruit per se. It's a berry- the biggest of all berries and the tree is actually an herb (The leaves look herby). Every part of the plant is edible including the stalk (inner part), leaves, flowers, roots and seeds. Seeds are like peppercorns. It said you can shred green papaya and cook like hash browns. I think papaya salad in Thai restaurants is shredded/pickled green papaya too. The stew looks yummy tho! Maybe that's a good potato substitute for people on Keto or low carb diets :-)

Ah very interesting! I'm going to have to try using the seeds like peppercorns in my grinder. Good to know we can shred for salads and hash browns as well! I will have to branch out and try using green papaya more!

@@SailingOneLife I like you and your channel as you take time to answer comments. The bigger channels don't do that and we do not know if they took the time to read it. Many ask for comments only to improve their rating. Cheers and have a safe stay in Columbia. Cheers, Richard

@@tartansailor thanks Richard! Yeah I don't understand why some channels don't respond to their comments. We love the comments and answering questions. Cheers!

If customs said the boat can’t leave, would you leave anyway?
@SailingOneLife10 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, we need to paperwork to get into the next country and it is risky to leave without it.
