This is a great start. The song is about every day being Friday because he's in love. All these outside forces will carry on, and they'll do all the bad things we expect them to do, but with love, you can overcome those things and feel like everyday is a fantastic day, which for most Friday is because it's the end of the week and the weekend will soon begin.

Yeah Friday gets everyones attention. This is their happiest song....("Mind Car" comes up close too, insane happiness)lol its all downhill from here but they dont actually have a single bad song in their library. Not sure if this is true, but I have read from a few sources some years back that this song was about Robert Smith, the lead singer, being in a week long depression and coming out of it on a Friday, and thus this song was born. I do not know how valid that is, but it was at least a handful of sources, and it made sense.

Cool video here. I commend you for taking the time to listen to a band like The Cure. Having said that, I see so many comments on this video of people requesting this and that song(s) from The Cure and oddly enough, they're a few of the "happier" tunes by The Cure *_BUT,_* The Cure is not really known mostly for it's "happier" tunes. The Cure is *_FAR_* more known for it's dark, haunting, aggressive, ominous, heavily melancholic and dolorous songs. If you really want to hear what The Cure *_REALLY_* do best?
