The kids are finally catching up to the fact this band sounds EXACTLY like they do in concert as they do on an album. There aren't too many people or bands who can say the same. The Cure is pure and raw talent.

This, my friends, is the heart of Cure's music- dark, edgy and ethereal but at the same time romantic and pulls anyone in if given a chance. You can't quite pin it down if it is offering you a glimmer of hope or complete despair but it will surely take you on a journey like no other music. This is how music should be about but rarely anyone makes it for these reasons. The Cure's music is an honest expression and reflection of different aspects of life.

From my Facebook wall: 35 years ago, the legendary British alternative rock band, The Cure, released the studio material called "Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me", which included this enigmatic melody. Whether you know the song, or have never heard it, I share with you my absolutely personal interpretation of its narrative. It seems that we are facing a Gothic elegy in which Robert Smith's guitar simulates the opening of a multidimensional door through which emerges a ghostly presence that dedicates a few words, in the form of lament, to another soul equally ethereal and, apparently, unattainable. At the end of the singing of this wandering spirit, the guitar closes the multidimensional door again while the keyboardist, evoking the sound of an ancient and mysterious flute, places on the door a seal in the form of a timeless spell. Many songs have a story to tell through the lyrics and instrumental sections in the melody and, sometimes very clear as this, also building an atmosphere conducive to give more solidity to the narrative. Millions of followers around the world love this phenomenal dark ballad, representative of the band's most refined and sublime gothic style.
