I love your style as you know, but I wanted to mention that I always re-purpose the "chess room" into a second full-size bathroom. I get rid of the arch door and place a matching single door there instead. I then move the chess table into the "garden room" so as to have sims utilize that room more often. :)

@@hopen4fun Those are great tips! I am still debating on how and if I want to remodel the house. We'll see what I decide next round. The purist in me wants to keep it exactly as Maxis made it, but my practical side makes me want to fix this horrible layout. I've got something in mind, though! 😃

At 18:13 , just as you're going to calculate Pascal's secondary aspiration you clicked on his relationships panel and you can see he's furious at Nervous there. As someone else mentioned, it's probably Puddle Rage. Nervous hit Lazlo with a water balloon earlier and left a puddle behind. If Pascal, who is I believe a very neat sim, mopped it up then he likely became furious as a result.

The weird furious thing happened to me too and the two sims were very in love. After some research, I discovered that this happens when a very neat sim (Pascal in this case) cleans up a puddle that was caused by a very sloppy sim (in this case, Nervous). Also I think this is what makes two sims noy very attracted to each others even if they are supposed to be compatible. I wanted my two very opposite sims to be in love but the furious thing makes things very difficult.

Well, that would explain it! Thanks for the tip! It was just really weird that it happened in the middle of the night like that. Must have been a delay or something, but that has to be the problem because Pascal was mopping just before bed.

Oh my gosh I never knew that was a thing! That explains so much! Pascal got furious with Nervous seemingly out of no where in my game too and I was so confused!😆 They even fell out of love once because Nervous diddn't know Pascal was mad and tried to whoohoo with him and Pascal was like "NAH!!". Another time poor Nervous had to sleep on the couch because Pascal refused to share the bed with him, even though they were married and in love, because he was angry at him. But they are attracted to each other, they are both serious and have very similar interests so they never argue about anything else. I guess Nervous just has to learn to clean up his puddles even though he hates cleaning (or get Vidcund to do it cus he loves it)

i wish the fury system came back in later games, sure it's a complete mess here, but it could've been fixed.

I’m still watching, but in regards to Lazlo’s loss of chemistry with Crystal, I had the same thing happen. Crystal started spending a lot of time around the Curious house and began farting hearts for Vidcund, and so I checked to see, and Vidcund and Crystal actually had max chemistry! So Crystal moved on to another Curious brother and Lazlo later married Erin Beaker 😂

Oh man! That is so funny! I wonder if the same thing will happen in my game. I mean, Crystal did call to talk to Vidcund while Lazlo was standing right there. I think she might be sweet on Vidcund and doesn't really like Lazlo as much as he likes her. I'm interested to see where this will go for all of them!

aw, i thought that the game designer ltw suited lazlo perfectly, because he's a very laid-back nerd compared to his brothers; playful but lazy, and he even has max interest in entertainement! in my head he only joined the science career because his brothers did, too, and he didn't really know what else to do at the time. but obviously you play the game the way you picture it, that's really the beauty of it (: oh, and if you haven't checked out roguebotanist's tumblr, you totally should - she has uploaded some truly maxis match hairs that i thought you might like!

I think it was Pascal who was furious with Nervous XD. Maybe Nervous made a puddle that Pascal ended up mopping up and that was what made him furious? I guess we'll never know. Great video as always Cindy!

Nervous and Pascal are married in my game. They live together in an appartment and I think they'll soon have enough money for a house. Pascal also has a son in my game! His name is Liam 😊 Looking forward to see where Laslo's love life will be going!

Poor Nervous, he probably found out Pascal is now second-aspiration romance and it doesn't go well with Nervous' family aspiration and it won't be that easy to be in relationship with him :P I'm joking, but it would make sense! Great episode as always, I loooove Dax, he's so cute! In my Pleasantview Beau Broke got impregnated and gave birth to tween aliens, but they're looking like normal people but with green skin :< I was so dissapointed!

Wow, what a coincidence! In my game I had Lazlo fired because of the bad chance card (before this he progressed for a level or two) and his new job was - guess it - the Gamer career. You can try and set the story to something similar, for example, the superioirs found out that he hadn't had proper education so they kicked him out. But Lazlo was somewhat familiar with videogames and he decided to try his best. And this time without shenanigans (mostly)

I'm playing Strangetown as well and Lazlo ended up rolling the want to get engaged to Crystal. When they went to get married she left him at the alter even though they had max relationship on both lifetime and daily!?😕 I felt so bad for Lazlo...

I changed Vicdund's appearance before but he looked way too normal. I may change those glasses out. I love the floating alien baby thing. Sims2 has some really funny glitches. Never would have guessed Pascal was interested in romance. Had given Vicdund secondary family as well, but Lazlo secondary is romance in my game. I didn't calculate I just noticed Lazlo was flirting a lot.

Maybe Lazo figures he is going to get caught out and thinks switching to games might be a way out of trouble. It's also possible he went into science not because he wanted to but because it was expected in his family. I see him differently to his brothers. Lol, I had to go google Dale Gribble. Odd with the chemistry. I have seen before that higher relationship score made boltage better or it could be situational like swimwear. My guess is Maxis didn't think too much about base game relationships and how the boltage would work out later.

I am years late on this, but I'm pretty sure that Lazlo and Crystal have negative chemistry because their personalities became incompatible when the chemistry system was added to the game. I typically end up moving Lazlo out to make room for his growing family and getting him a little house with Crystal. Once they move in together I play out storywise that they realized they wouldn't make a good couple and decide to be friends instead. They then pursue other romances and remain best friends. In my current playthrough Crystal has two bolts with General Buzz Grunt and they two got married and had a baby. They are surprisingly cute together. Sadly, Pascal and Nervous refused to fall in love in my game. Not sure why, but even with 100/100 relationship in my game Nervous just wouldn't even develop a crush. Then Cyd Roseland, who's gay in my game (and a werewolf, which is why I put him in Strangetown) walked by and Nervous immediately started heart-farting over him. They are currently engaged and will getting married next round. Not sure who Pascal is going to end up with, he did develop a one-sided crush on Nervous, but I'm sure someone will catch his eye. There is something about the Curious house that I love, but is also in need of some major revision, lol.

Maybe because Loki and Circe don't like Nervous being friends with Pascal they did an experiment on him or made some medicine when Nervous got home which played with his mind, causing him to be furious with Pascal?

in my game, I had Lazlo date Erin Beaker since both believed in having psychic/mind powers and they had two bolts (at least in my game). Crystal was absolutely awful to Lazlo, I always disliked her. Maybe Pascal is a Romantic sim in that he feels very romantic and gushy towards his partner....hopefully....

Hi Daniel! Have you applied the 4GB patch and used the graphics rules maker? These two things will fix most issues with performance. If you haven't, you can read this article on my blog for help: pleasantsims.com/sims-2-windows-10/
