You make many good points. I have not been to Tibet, but I know many gays around the world who have had to struggle against the longstanding views of their society, religion, or national authorities. I admire the courage of you to speak out and I know you are helping LGBT people in your homeland by talking about this topic.
Stay strong. You are in the right. Thanks for being open. I'm sure many closeted gay kids find hope and strength through your example. So sad to hear about the struggles of other Tibetan gay guys. I hope the one you talked of learns to be brave and love himself. I hope he doesn't marry a girl and ruin both of their lives. I hope one day all gay people can live openly and be respected.

& I thought only Christians or Muslims would struggle with their own sexual orientation or queer identity... I guess it's not faith or religion but just the constraints & expectations of family, or whether one's desire to fit in or thrive in heteronormative society trumps the innate human need to experience love .
