I live about 20 minutes away from oak island. I've toured the island met Dan Blankenship and I got to meet Rick Lagina and Charles Barkhouse when I ran into them at a gas station. All very humble people and very dedicated to solving this mystery. Being asked in person by Rick Lagina what my personal theory was after telling him I was a big fan of the mystery, definitely a cool experience. As a local I can say the mystery is definitely there and there was lots of activity on that island for hundreds of years. Whether or not they'll be able to put definitive stamps on any theory is still in question.

Once again an excellent summary. This particular episode was particularly intriguing. The “All Seeing Eye” or “Eye of Providence” as depicted in the Nicolas Poussin painting and theory of the Knights Templar visit to Oak Island and possible deposit of rare artifacts is mind blowing. The most fascinating aspect of this show is the historical content. It doesn’t matter to me if treasure is found. The real treasure is the historical context of the narrative/adventure. Who constructed the pit, wharfs, French drains etc....how was it done and why was the treasure or artifacts buried.

Thank you! I agree; the historical stuff is what gets me, too.

Hammerson Peters Yet another interesting aspect of this episode is the intersection of the Poussin secret (ie. All seeing eye) the location at the top end of the swamp, and Amundsen’s theory as stated in year one episode 4. Amundsen theorized that a possible vault location would be found at the Mercy point (Tree of Life) which superimposed on Nolan’s cross was the top of swamp. I say drain that swamp and start excavating.

@@jamesbradford1815 I sent a message to Petter after the S7E3, and he told me that the Mercy Point is southwest of the Eye of the Swamp. It is interesting that so many theories keep pointing to that same general area, though. I agree; they ought to pick some targets and excavate.

One thing is for certain, no one went to the trouble and expense of what was done on and around this island for their health or enjoyment. There must be some kind of extraordinary reason these things were done so far back in history. I'm a little afraid of what's down there to be honest. Treasure is usually buried with intent to reclaim at some point, things buried to be practically unrecoverable are done because it's something nigh on indestructible and dangerous. Just sayin.

I’m fascinated by all of the work on and around the island, especially in the Cove. It’s really baffling.....how could so much work have been done when by all rights the work is 10 feet under water? Even if no treasure is found, it is so interesting. Will we ever find out the real purpose of the island? I don’t know. If the treasure is found, there is still the Eye of the Swamp and figuring out Smith’s Cove. I agree Brent, they may be one more booby-trap there to concern the Fellowship.

Well done once again! I completely enjoy the show as well as your videos on it. Now last time (your previous vid) I mentioned the last of the numbers could actually be the measurements to the vault. Now this time with all the mention of Nicolas Poussin, I have a question for you.....has anyone considered that not only the 2 parts of Nicolas Poussin with Shepards of Arcadia, but also the The Shugborough Inscription? I find it very interesting to know that Lord George Anson was a Naval man in the 18th century, among other interesting facts concerning this man. It has always intrigued me what the inscription truly was.....HP, what if??? I look forward to your thoughts on this. ps. both my sister and I look forward to your book. :)

Thank you very much! Yes, there are a few Oak Island theories regarding the Shugborough Inscription. One of these is Petter Amundsen's theory, which I touched on briefly in my video on S7E8. Another is Gary Clayton's theory, which was introduced back in S4E13. Thanks so much for your patronage! I hope you two love the book.

Are your books on Kindle yet? Never mind, I found it. Let me ask an honest question; what way can I order the book where you will receive the most return? Sometimes authors can get minimal returns when you go through big houses like Amazon.

Not detracting from your excellent video, but am I the only one who sees that the overlay of the painting on Nolens Cross way off center? You can spin any theory to your (the theorist) liking by tainting the evidence...Anyone else see this?

Citizen x Citizen x I think the painting is shifted off center off either one...not saying it Hammerson but there’s been several “stretching of the truth” moments in the show itself. Maybe it’s because I’m not K.T. that I don’t see it....

They keep going on and on about the mason's. So what. That island has been torn apart for three hundred years. All the old clues are useless. FOLLOW THE FLOOD SHAFT TO THE TREASURE. then let the dinosaur hunters tell us who built it. This show has run it's course.
