Hi there, I'm an editor from another reaction channel that also did a LoL lore dive! It's always awesome to see more reactors jump into the world of League and I love how you've touched on many cinematics not as widely known! Thank you for taking your time ingesting all that Runeterra has to offer, there are so many champions, regions, and LoL events to explore beyond what we saw in Arcane and I'm excited for your journey. Doing this particular deep dive can be overwhelming though - many of these League cinematics did not have continuity in mind when they were created and it's compounded by the fact certain parts of League lore are still spotty at best, despite Riot's best efforts. Shurima's lore is deep and very interesting, it ties up with a lot of stuff that happened in the past that you are not aware of yet, it even ties up loosely with one of the champions you saw in the Bite Marks season trailer, Vladimir.

Amumu's "Curse of the sad mummy" was a love letter to the league community before Arcane was a thing. Amumu is a very beloved character among the community and when we got this little story/cinematic it was such a great treat :)

Because of the way Amumu used the moon to travel in this video, like a Bandle city portal, I have always believed him to be a Yordle since this came out. They‘re essentially immortal, and also known to sometimes travel and settle in far away places. Maybe he lived in Shurima and then „died“ similar to Heimer in S2, then they buried him with magic rites which kept him dormant for some time only to reawaken later. If you rewatch the video and watch the nature surrounding him you‘ll see why he „cant‘ have any friends“* , every living thing around him shrivels and dies

If you want more of the shadow isles I think thresh has his own animated short, there‘s one for Kalista, and I think one of Viego‘s is also pretty good! Don’t much like the Ruination cinematics though. Not sure if you’re into games but there‘s the „Ruined King“ from 2021 which is packed to the brim with lore! Also going by Region is probably easier!

Also, I wonder how deep she would want to go about learning these champions. Obviously it would be great to get her opinions on the skins that each character has, but it might also be cool for her to see the other aspects of the characters as well. Seeing a character's abilities or voicelines could go a long way to help characterize them, though there are also some skins that have their own voice lines that are worth checking out.

25:33 Little fun fact. The "Harrowing" was originally just the LoL version of "Halloween". This is a very old cinematic celebrating a halloween event. The 4legged guy is called "Hecarim" (he is a Warrior fused with his Horse when the "necromancy" shiz happened). This story with the lovers of the ship is the origin - what inspired - the whole Ruination story with Viego and his queen Isolde (which would come yeeaaaaars later). So yes, they went from some little spin on halloween, to actually using everything and putting it into proper lore

in the video of amumu. u can actually see what his curse does. everywhere and anything he touches decays, withers and dies. u can see the forest dying when he goes trough it. that why he cant have friends because he passively kills them :< . fun(sad) fact: the Annie video u saw was basicly for her rework. before annies rework the magic inbedded in her bear would keep her safe from the curse and annie and amumu used to be friends. but after the rework they changed it and they never met, so amumu now is truly alone. ( this is why some older skins of them both have matching theme's)

agree, in particular the one on the MMO's story being done already and/or his intro to the league universe for Arcane fans would be a great start. Hi again, Claudie, as I said before I love your reactions ☺️ Thank you for your passion, your videos became a part of my routine in a good way 😁 Some info about Christian. Christian Linke was the part of the German rapcore/alternate rock/metal band called "Nevada Tan" (later "Panik") in late 2000s (2006-2009). He's a great musician, actually he was a bass guitarist. He was the author of some songs for the band. I know you're not a rock/metal music fan, but maybe you'll enjoy the song called "Keiner Merkt Es" and maybe some more of them (they have some beautiful non heavy songs as well). After the band was dismantled in 2009 he became the part of Riot Games as a composer in 2010. Him, being a part of this band, had a huge influence on me being in my teenage years, cause their music had some kind of a rebellion vibes, like "be a rebel! Don't be as everyone else think you should be" (which I was and I am today, I'm 31 lol)). So, it was all about their music and their style 😄 (Also sorry, don't wanna be a nit-picking, but Christian is originally from Germany, so his last name reads/pronounces as LinkE ☺️) Thanks again for being into Arcane and League of Legends. One correction, Christian didn't start at Riot as a composer. He actually was just a guy in a player support team. I think he started to write music for Riot only in 2012, like Diana's and Draven's themes.

harrowing was one of the good old seasonal events of the game we also had "URF" for aprils folks, valentines day, lunar revel "its happening rn" , snowdown showdown for christmas and near the end of the year Worlds championship all of these with a lot of themed skins for the champions and even new champions sometimes

Amumu and Annie were the first lore videos I discovered back after season 1, and really made me realize what a massive, rich lore they had built around LoL. I was obsessed pretty much from that point. I also loved how light is used in this and Arcane. Possibly my favorite part of the entire style, and no surprise that Christian was involved in both.

I relate quite a lot with Amumu; his song always makes me tear up. I was born with anger issues/short fuse(my biological dad having that as well) and on top of that I've always been taller and bigger than kids my own age, so learning to control it was obviously vital. In that regard League of Legends was a big help, as many people know League is a game known for making people frustrated when things don't go their way even if they are or feel like they are trying their best. For me in the earlier years of me playing League made me angry quite often, but being in that state of anger so often also allowed me to have great control over it in the future. If it was not for League of Legends' competitive frustrations, I would not have the same level of emotional control as I do today.

Fun fact for you: Cassiopeia is Katarina’s sister, and she is secretly in the black rose (Katarina is unaware). Katarina chose to follow the path of their father and serve noxus as an assassin, whereas Cassiopeia chose to follow the path of their mother who was also secretly apart of the black rose.

I'd recommend you explore the champions by region instead of A-Z . There are many and their storys interconnect often. Also prepare for a bunch of tragedy - there are maybe a handfull of champions with a cheerfull background , most of them Yordles (exept Amumu , Veigar and Vex). Most of the background storys are snipets of a bigger framework that comes to light if you read into the storys of related champions. It's easier that way - not to lose the thread that binds everything by going through the champion list by A-Z. It's quite a big world ... 😉

I loved the curse of the sad mummy. I was wondering what happened. I just figured you were editing it but it is fantastic. I love that but since he's like heimerdinger does that mean he will never die and be free of his curse? He just reforms back in their world. There is a game you might be intrested in called "The Ruined King a league of legends story" It's a turn based role play game (hope that's help at least a bit) and it's follows the story of 6 league champs trying to stop the harrowing from happening. Also there is 2 trailers for it and they are cool as fuck And you ara familiar with some of this 6 champs Yasuo (samurai like sword guy from Ionia) Miss Fortune (Redhead pirate captain hoty) Braum (Big wholsome guy from the Freljord) Ahri (Fox girl from technicly everything) Pyke and Illaoi who are great characters as well only new to you PLS react to at lest the trailers and if you would like to play the game (stream it obiously) there is a story mode where you don't need to be good at it at all to play, and you can roam the streets of Bilgewater, The Shadow Isles, and many more it's the closest thing to and open world league game!!!

If you want to watch other style of league you should watch ANNIE ORIGIN, its painting style animation the story, the animation, its perfect. And the horse looking guy is named hecarim, he once a human but after he died he got fused with his horse 😂, and also there is champion called kalista the spear of vengeance, she was a general when she was alive from kingdom of camavor, she and her loved one got killed and become ghost, in shadow isle, and if you like some kind of novel you should read ruined king its novel that come out from league to expand the lore of ruination
