The Cutest Surprise at Our Animal-Friendly Wedding!

My new husband(!!!) Andrew and I run a neonatal kitten rescue called Orphan Kitten Club. I surprised him with a floral basket of calico kittens at our animal-friendly wedding, and now we're fostering them together!

She could say a few words and would come strutting up the hall calling me "Ma-aam" and asking to go "ow" (out) or threatening to run "way" if I took more than one minute to put food in her bowl. I miss her awfully still. We have two other kittens now and one has started calling me "ma-am" but it's not the same as my little Trixie. She was only a year old when we lost her. But we learned so much in the time we had her.

What a wonderful wedding theme. I wish we would have thought of that 43 years ago. We had an outdoor wedding at my parents house. My sister did what she use to do as kids and came home from the mini Mart at he end of our street with a very young kitten. My dad and I were in the kitchen when she came home with a familiar hand behind her back and my dad asked " what is behind your back"?. She said " it's a wedding present". I was shocked, shouldn't have been. We named her Matrimony, matt or Mattie for short.
