Bug? Really again the mis-use of the word bugs and glitches in 2022? Aight the police thing is not a bug, infact way worse. It's on purpose because CDPR knows a few things in integrating a cop system those are jack and shit. Only time we saw it was the guards in Witcher 3 and that's practically the same for Cyberpunk 2077. Best they did for "cops" or prevention of numb slaughter was to immediately kill you with overwhelming and op cops that spawn when out of your sight. Which way more dissapointing that it's on purpose than it being a bug. They don't know how to integrate a flying vehicle to swoop in n' shit or even A DRIVE BY CAR THEY CAR AI IS FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUCK

While I agree that they could have added a bit more to it and that the time skip was a bit jarring, I also MUCH prefer this to the other side of the coin. That other side being an anime which is far too long for the substantial content, which dilutes the entire experience into something mind-numbingly mundane. I will skip out on some details if it means my experience is more concise and interesting overall.

Don't think we necessarily need to compare, they compliment each other. The disaster of a launch aside, having played at launch and couldn't get past the tutorial aside, I went back to the game and found myself invested in the story. The anime really, reaaally sets the scene for the game, and this "I want to be a legend" thing becomes more and more understandable. It's hard to go into the game dry and connect with the characters on any level, but after the show I can really understand what everyone is saying and where they are coming from. The timer put on V's life is pressuring throughout the whole playthrough and I just know that it won't end well, just like David and anyone else in night city. But none of that changes anything for the characters, because death was always close anyway, and through the pursuit of a chance at life you, playing as the character, really find true relationships in the game and the anime, even if the adventures for everyone are so, so short.

Okay glad to see someone say it! I have it on PS4 and it plays like an absolute fucking dream my only complaint is that when you die it takes a bit to load. But hey other than that I love it and if you spend the whole game driving everywhere (let’s be honest unless your destination is literally on the complete otherside) is completely viable and no loading times during the drive. It feels like real good immersion- you know how many times I didn’t wanna hop out the whip cause a good song was going? I genuinely love the game now.

So glad they redeemed themselves by not only fixing the game almost entirely, but adding a huge new expansion to it along with an entire rework to the game's combat mechanics. This really shows how much passion they had for Cyberpunk. In its release it was like a very very (very) unpolished diamond. It was buggy to all hell, but the graphics were fucking amazing, and when the game did function as it was supposed to, it was amazing. The story element, the setting, all of it was Triple-A by the definition. With 1.6 almost completely fixing the game, and now 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, this gives us very high hopes for the future of Cyberpunk. Let's just hope this time they take 9 years instead of 8 to make another one lmao.

This anime along with arcane were one of the biggest surprise shows to come out in the past year. I notice that what makes them so special is the amazingly unique, well crafted world that the games have already previously laid out for the shows to build upon. The formula of being an outlaw/underdog in such an unfair world seems to be very appealing to viewers. Also since the games have already cumulated fans you just know they’re gonna hype the fuck out of it and I’m glad they did. Seriously one of the most entertaining shows to ever come this year. Alright boyos, he's a hot take: The best parts of Cyberbug were never broken to begin with and it's part of what makes the show so good. The actual gameplay is real been-there-done-that as is to be expected from CDPR, let's be honest. Now that it's in a much better spot, it's a real fun ARPG with nice variety in builds. When I would recommend that game to people as a must play, it was never the gameplay that I would use to make the argument, it was everything else. The characters, the visuals, the world building, the story; All of it was some absolute kino shit which makes it that much more frustrating that it launched the way it did, it largely denying millions from experiencing it the same way someone on PC would've that was lucky enough to have a run go largely bug free. Everything I loved about the game is what I ended up loving about the show with great characters and fantastic world building so it's disappointing that the game is still often associated with being an unplayable mess because even when it's 100% fixed, I think it'll have a hard time cleaning off that stain so people can actually enjoy the incredible experience underneath.

As it stands, Cyberpunk is one of my favourite RPGs I've played. It's such a shame the game released in the state it did because IMO it excels in so many different areas, Night City is one of my favourite settings I've had the pleasure of experiencing and the cybernetic mechanics allow for interesting builds and gameplay options. The bones and shell of a masterpiece exist within Cyberpunk 2077 however it is just such a shame it lacks the polish to really show it.

Idk, the game at it's current state can really give much more of that feel that Edgerunners did. Feeling of hopelessness and inevitability. Night City crushes everyones dreams under its corporate foot regardless of how special you are. 2077 is just another side of the coin that Edgerunners showed. It can also give a sence of closure/revenge if you finish the game. Although it doesn't really matter because regardless of what you choose, your choices are insignificant, in the long run it's corporate that will decide.

I mentioned this in another comment, but I think if you can actually enjoy the game, you can get MUCH more value out of it. There's tons of sidequests, lore, and worldbuilding for you to have fun in. However, I find the game extremely difficult to love. In my opinion, the gameplay sucks, I can't like the characters, and the dialog is cheesy. For people like me who were put off by the game, it's so fucking convenient and cool to experience the Cyberpunk world in a nice, 5 hour package. No gameplay, no $25 investment, you can just sit down and enjoy the show.

@@ScamboliReviews Yes, and I'm really happy that people get to experience this world in such a great light, through a media that doesn't necessarily demand commitment, or investment. I found it infuriating, I guess, that such great world and setting was buried underneath all the mess that the game created. And that all that great writing (although I guess it isn't everyone's cup of tea) was completely overshadowed. What I'm trying to say is that there isn't any more of those goofy ahh bugs and inconveniences. The world, the characters, the story and music are there for you to explore. Oh, and on another note, I think it's unfair to say that V "just wanted to be a Night City legend", because David had no dream, or goal at all, he was just going with the flow, but obviously it's not just that it's much more complicated in both cases. And I think some of the 2077's (ahem, spoiler, ahem, the suicide and the Arasaka ending) endings were as hard hitting as Edgerunners ending. Bruh venting so much wtf, like🤓 Edit: For me personally, those endings were enough to justify the suffering that I went through playing the game at the launch. I also read your other comment and I think you don't actually need to connect to V to get similar experience from the endings. Like if you don't like the guy or hate his goofy ahh voice lines, you can still feel the weight of the situation and the complete lack of control that he has except from well ahem, SPOILERS, ahem the suicide ending.

When you realize the same writers literally wrote Edgerunners, so the same “cheesiness” is in the anime so it doesn’t really make much sense to say that about the game but not the show 🤔 I get it, you played day one and didn’t like the bugs and never went back. This is what most Game companies often forgot when they're adapting their IP into an Animated show or a Movie or Series. They always thi k that its better to do it their way and have their own take on the story/world building. Arcane and EdgeRunner manage to create a show using the people that actually makes/ know about the world/story they're trying to adapt. By sticking closely with the devs that help make the series, it's a sure fire way of making a show that stays true to the world and story that actually matters in the context of the game. The animation studio are there to make the show beautiful and its the devs job to give it the soul of what they're trying to adapt. Kudos to companies that do their animation like this, we need more of them.

@@hickory654 tbf, the main storyline is linear until the point-of-no-return missions (act 3), which is pretty much at the end of the game where you decide an ending to go with. So in a way, there isn't much player decision making that affects the story in any major way aside from choosing to complete side missions that affect your relationship with/story of certain characters and choosing to spare/kill/save others, and even then, they don't have much of an impact on the main story/endings. man, we need some more of the anime at 0:59 also, i'm _so glad_ my cheap ass waited until 2022 to buy and play this game. I _loved it!_ but I see the launch videos and haha - man those are rough.

As someone who got an ultra rare functioning copy of cyberpunk 2077 I enjoyed the game, it wasn't a very complicated story but if you play the entire game including side quests it has an interesting world to dive into, the anime was better but if anyone likes the world from the anime checking out the game (PC still has the best experience from what I've heard) is worth it in my opinion.

Hello Scamboli, there's a 99.99% you wont read this comment, but on the off chance you do, I'd highly recommend reading, or maybe even doing a video on the Ajin Demihuman manga, I genuinely feel it's one of, if not the most underrated manga of all time, from beginning to end the series is a masterpiece. Tl;dr imagine if Tokyo Ghoul, Deadpool, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure had a baby. The Tokyo Ghoul being, the way the Demihumans are treated, the Deadpool being the immortality, and the JBA being the "stands" (IBM's) which they can summon. Overall the series is clever as hell, and the main antagonist Sato, is legit one of the best villains of ALL TIME, the art and combat scenes are mind blowing, it's seriously very good, yet so rarely talked about :( Anyway, thanks for reading, whoever read this comment .

I liked the video a lot, thankfully the game is in a good state nowadays because I remember the dread I felt thinking they skip town and abandon the game.

I actually only had one issue in all my time playing 2077 and it was patched out in the first few days. I always see everyone saying how bad they had it, how buggy it was or that they couldn't even play it. It was such a foreign thought to me cause what everyone else seemed to experience was no where near what I experienced and I find it kind of sad cause I really had fun with it.

I mean my game was glitchy as hell but it was entirely just graphic glitches. Animations not loading properly, models not updating correct, textures not loading, anytime you could see V they wouldn't have a head, etc. Nothing game breaking though.

This is debatable, because it depends how you play the game. Really, if you do it right and dont try to interact with so many things at once (or do it on purpose just to cause it) it could be pretty painless and good experience. Also the longer you play its more likely to see weird stuff. Overall game is way better now, but initial reaction (hype and expectations were huge) is what counts for many, and it was bad. Since then majority is on same bandwagon (to shit on it). Game deserves a second chance, the concept is too good to abandon. Time will heal the wounds just like in No Man's Sky and even if CDPR stops working on it/fixing it, there always are modders.

@@StrataVision oh naw I played this game like an ape man, constantly looking for trouble to get into, main quests and side quests armore/clothes/mod/weapon hunting, going from melee to ranged in combat as quick as a CoD kid bunny hops around corners. I tried to push the game as hard as I could and as fast as I could cause me, my friends and brother were all racing to the end. Still one of my favorite experiences even if it wasn't well received for its issues for others

anyone ever thought that maybe the game was released in an incomplete state because a bunch of nerds on the internet with nothing else to live for bitched and complained for years about them taking too long to make the game? Bought the game after I watched the anime and I've been loving it, still a few bugs, but only a crash or two. Edgerunners is anime of the year.
