The Cyclone - The Wizard of Oz

Hello, have you ever seen the score? The Cyclone is THE HARDEST part for the 1st violins especially (scales and arpegios). Mt. Lebanon Orchestra rehearses every day and night for musicals. They sometimes stay after school until 10PM trying to get it right. These high school musicians are talented and hard-working. They deserve a compliment.

The set, music, fog, and flying old bats are cool and all, but for awhile, there were just some flashing green lights and fog. I think that they should have had more the stuff in the movie, like the appearances by Aunt Em, Uncle Henry, and the farmhands. Still was good though!

The smoke effect is great, I just wish they used fans for the clouds rolling past, and I’d like it if the classic flying debris joke was used.

Nice job, but I would suggest next time to put the tympani set on the edge of pit instead of the center--the player's head was in the picture the entire time. And maybe put some gels on the musician's stand lights so it is not as distracting. Thank you!
