I think the Red Bull gameplan is to make a bridge between high level dance that we are used to while also making events that normies can respect. There are people with eyes and ears that didn't understand why Soraki's first round was being celebrated. The gap is THAT wide/bad.

I think Fusion Concept is the best "mainstream" event for normies. It let's them discover a whole lot of styles, choreos, voices. But this is the most mainstream by far. Redbull diferenciates itself by the Pop music played (which appeals way more to casual audiences as opposed to passionate dance people) compared to the Hip Hop beats at FC. Even with all the cons this event brings, I'm still glad it exists. If it can draw more people towards appreciating the dance culture it can only be a positive, and imo I wouldn't mind participating in this event in the future. It feels like a very expensive dancefloor in a VIP Nightclub where you get to impress the casual peeps with your moves, even if they understand only half of it ; most dance styles were born on the dancefloor, in clubs, so I feel that the Pop music is justified, even if most of the selection can be better. As an experimental dancer, I developed my style thanks to a myriad of genres from my playlist (not only hiphop), and it helped me understand how to approach a song depending on it's tone, speed, genre, atmosphere. I think it's definitely a plus to learn dancing on other genres, as it will only broaden your understanding of rythm and music better. If this kind of event was a fluke, there wouldn't be all those street dance names that would be dancing on it's stage, yet I saw Alex, Dam'en, Rubix, Soyuz, Beast, Ruin ... Having fun on it, simply.having.fun.

DSoraki's cultural dances & some songs came on the right time & more experience/ confident of beating younger competitors could not defeat Humuza's Afrodance style but it was bc of Humuza's own STRESSED. From earlier rounds of DSoraki vs the Crown or King obviously saw his big moments were less than Hector or Humuza
