my dad was in air force during korea and was a b-29 tailgunner.later moved into fueling fighters.but he loved dozers.but we where poor.i remember we rented a farm back in 70s and he had 3 broken bulldozers.i as a kid would climb up on them and pretend to drive them.he did get one running it was a old case with loader bucket on it about the size of a d4 probaly.he had a much bigger one with pony motor and huge blade but it was all so rusted up he got pny motor rebuilt and big motor was locked up.then one day he came home from working on it and said he felt sick had a stomach ache.he dyed 3 mnths later at 45 years old

Do you send your filters out for washing? If not, I'm sure you have seen an air filter with the fire cracker stuffed underneath. It'll make a great shorts video.

Also you can find H002619 donaldson pipe TO have exhaust dust ejector on top of this exhaust you have now. If my memory serves me well this model d9h have very high quality horizontal mufler with built in dust ejector .but unfortunately it blokes field of view.

Have you considered one of the rotary precleaners for the air intake. We run them on some of our ag tractors with pretty good results. Turbo2 was one brand. Donaldson also makes them. Just size them for the cfm for the engine. Last one 1 bought was about $500 for a 400 horse ag tractor

We make military vehicles and electric dust ejector with multi cyclone dust saparator is the best thing in market. And some of military vehicles just relay on one stage cyclone and they haven't paper filter . But in civilian market donaldson reverse flow STG ( discharge on top ) is way better than this standard type on cat d9h (STB discharge from under ) IT IS NESESARY TO NOTO FORGET PLASTIC VERSIONS LIGHT DUTY WITH SEVERAL MODEL NAME (rotor top. Rotor spin . Cone ..... ) first if you can afford go to military version if you can't donaldson G161006 STG

Hey Jeff, as always, love your shows. Can you explain to me, and maybe some of us, especially in the Northeast, what you are doing by moving that "silt"? I know you are covering lava rock, but for what purpose?
@Jpaydirt8 ай бұрын
they irrigate them (rock outcroppings) fertilize them and they make weeds so we cover them
@jimthayer98376 ай бұрын
Rock doesn’t grow anything but headaches. If you cover it with a foot or two of dirt you can grow most crops. Not to mention the cost of fertilizer, water and ground.

@gordonagent70378 ай бұрын
Jeff, rookie question please, do you normally set the throttle for so many revs and just work to suit, or do you use a foot throttle and rev as needed?
@gregorycross6128 ай бұрын
Good question. On most equipment you have both a foot throttle (treddle) and a hand throttle. The foot treddle on a lot eguipment can be switched from an accellerator or a decellerator. It is very common when operating dozers to set the throttle for desired speed/power and use the decelerator peddel when revering etc.
@Jpaydirt8 ай бұрын
are you talking about the D9 or scrapers? D9 is full throttle pushing and backing up in 2nd probably half,
