Excellent message. I'm so glad Peter failed! Because of his failure I know that there is hope for me. Even though I have been 40+ years in Christ I know what a weak and miserable sinner I am and need the keeping strong right hand of God to hold me safe in Christ.

When people don't want to hear the truth, they will walk out! They did it with JESUS to! Thanks for your message from GOD! I serve the Lord now for 46 years! I am 73 years old, and I saw many people walk out and God deals with them on His time! God bless you pastor Begg

Every time I hear a sermon by Alistair it makes me feel ashamed of the watered down messages I hear being preached in most churches around even in the church I attend. Listening to such men reminds me of the faithfulness of God to raise a people after His own heart to preach such a beautiful word.

Was there ever a Friend like this!? As usual, Begg begs us to bow, worship, serve and praise the One who died so we would no longer live for ourselves.

The sermon has made me think that the sanctification process has been exhausting for me because I dwell on my failures. I need to take responsibility for my failures and be thankful for how Christ has guided me through them and used them to make me desire God's Kingdom more.

Anen. I have been listening to Pastor Beggs sermons, here in KZbin since about July or August of 2022. He measured up and took the sermon to new highs. I watch one to three per day, every day. Good job. Pastor Alistair Begg. I am enjoying your sermons, and through them, getting to know who he man is teaching me daily. I added Truth for life to my monthly tithes.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 28:26 He who trusts in himself is a fool. "Our hearts are far more wicked than we ever know." Jeremiah 17:9 The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? Finally, God has given us His word to save us from ourselves. We have an influence. We can lead or influence according to the scriptures or according to our preoccupations. We should be gracious in our dealings with each other. J.C. Ryle said, "Let no man condemn Peter who has never broken a promise or has never been disloyal". We learn as the story unfolds that with God, failure is never final. Jesus did not reject Peter because of his failure. He loved him. He loved him to the end. He loved the disciples at the Passover despite foreknowledge of their coming denials/failures. What kind of friend is this? Was there ever love like this? Was there ever a friend like this?

Not sure why I should care what Dave Ramsay thinks about this sermon. I found it to be quite on target and invaluable in understanding the might love of Christ that will not let go of those who have surrendered their lives to him.
