Very true - your mother must be exhausted. Before I had a child, I would NEVER use those words. I would train twice a day, compete in sport, work, train in gym daily, study and learn new things, and work on my own business at home. Once I had a child who never slept for more then 1 hour in the first year, and up to 3 hours in the second year (she still wakes up every night a few times and she is 2.5 yo), I put her to bed and work until 3-4am in the morning. I am too exhausted to get up in the morning at 8:30am, and feel like a bad role model - even though I'm not lazy. This is a good reminder to never use those words to my child regardless of what I feel.

Diana yes having children can challenge us in ways we never thought possible. Raising children is probably the most challenging task ever. I don’t have children but I’ve heard from every parent I know that it is quite a job and I believe you all! Blessings to you for taking it on I’m sure you will raise amazing people that will be a great contribution to the world ❤️

I agree in part. You've laid out an excellent argument as to why you shouldn't say certain words or phrases. I think I'm going to start doing this myself. However, when I hear you saying that "I don't want to hear that" that's something I don't want to say. I want to be strong enough that I can hear whatever anyone says and can overpower, perhaps even persuade them of the opposite belief. There are things that I will not say, but there is nothing that I will exclude myself from hearing. I find it more important to discover truth I didn't know from other people than it is to be misled with their lies. If I'm mislead, then at least I can take responsibility for that. However, if I shut someone down and discouraged them from speaking not only would I not benefit, but everyone else around me--if for no other reason than for an opportunity to prove what they say to be untrue. I am completely and utterly opposed to any kind of censorship for any reason because censorship is only needed by people who do not aim to align themselves 100% to the truth.

I went from being stuck on pain meds with nothing and owning my dealer and nowhere to live. To back on my feet, off pain medication, back in an apartment, 2 cars, a great job and now own my own house. Motivation and relentless dedication to bettering myself and my families life and being positive got me here. No excuse, it's on you. When you hit the bottom, as long as you're not dead, there's nowhere to go but up.

Sir, you've become an inspiration for me today. I've been complacent of letting my mouth run wild for far too long. Self-depricating and being ungreatful to myself for the level of success that I've achieved. I've driven myself on a mindset of "impostor syndrome" as an excuse that something's just wrong with me, as if that is normal. Thank you for reminding me, that even God in the bible warns us of what words we speak with our tongues towards ourselves and to others. I feel like I can move on and start maturing this part of me. Thank you for this video!

@EBR14 жыл бұрын
"Can't" is not a "Bad word" at all. I can't fly. I can't run at the speed of light. I can't pull my head off and then put it back in place. Words are neutral. It's the intention behind the words that matters. It's not the words, it's the beliefs that people hold.

Truthfully I don’t always agree with what you say in your videos but this one popped up in a weird time of my life. I was shot in the leg by a stray bullet on 7/31/22 in downtown Orlando I was one of seven shot. I’m thankful I’m alive and my leg has recovered. But my mental state has been very bad, I felt like a victim, I missed time at work, and when I returned it’s been an uphill battle (I work in sales) but this video is spot on. I won’t talk down to my self, call myself an idiot, or say that I’m useless anymore. I’ll take care of myself and I will implement this and protect my spirit and become an elite version of myself. The only way is up from here.

As an Assyrian man at 24, I thank God I saw that last name. Your words have cleaned the dust off of my old thoughts that lingered in the shadows of the back of my mind. And how you explained it and entailed it to reach me has given me the most excellent satisfaction and joy because I shared these ideas, but you have revived it back for me. So I say thank you and hope it reaches our people and everyone in this world. I'm looking forward to more videos like these.

A couple of years ago, I told my boss that I was tired of his bullshit of how he talked and treated co-workers and me. Today, I don't work for him. I seen the light and I am on my way to healing from being bullied. That was one time the word "tired" was positive for me. I was bullied in my army career and in civilian life. Today I'm free. Thank you for this. I've been sober 2.5 years now and I have been feeling stuck. I've gotten to a certain level in my life, but I know I can do better, be better, be further along my journey in life. But I've been spinning my wheels in the f'n' mud for many months now. Staying awake at night wondering why. I've caught myself feeling sorry for myself and stopped it in time to avoid possible relapse. What you have said in this video has opened my eyes ears and mind to fix my stinking thinking problem. The weight of the words I choose to use. Makes a difference. Also have to not let people build houses in my head. Thank you for this. My eyes are open and my ears are tuned once again. Thanks for letting me share this. Hopefully someone else reads this and is going through the same bad place I'm in. And they will know they are not alone. I'm going to take this advice and use it.

Even stronger is when you say "I am" instead of "I'm" because it puts even more emphasis on it. And the reason what you said works is because now it's about our identitiy, what and who we are.

I don't understand why so many people are talking about they're crying their fucking eyes out listening to this guy or how what he's said has changed their life and now they're multi millonaires.
