AliExpress is not a place to buy non-Chinese brands period. Chinese homages? Sure (if that’s your thing), but if you’re after an authentic product AliExpress isn’t the place to get it.

I do not agree with the customer support part. You could ask for refund, in most cases, you will get money back and not have to give the watch back even.

Imo yes, it's one of Seiko's better modern affordable releases, still one of the more affordable automatic gmts, and a great looking watch imo

I was gifted this model a while back, and a year later it would only tick when I had it facing upside down; face up it would just stop. It had been dropped due to an issue with the spring bar, so was that due to shock maybe? Thought I’d ask the expert 😂

Unfortunately, yes, it's possible something got bumped out of place. Maybe the rotor is loose, causing it to not wind enough, or in certain directions?

One of the reasons I stired clear from seiko's grey market. There is a good chance I buy a chinese knock of. Alpinist, cocktail and 5 series in particular are a big no no.

I understand your concern, but I can't fully agree with this conclusion. Is it stupid to buy a brand watch from some unauthorized or no name shop? 100%. Are there no certified and reliable sellers on Ali? That's not true. If you dig it deeper you may find some good shops selling original products for reasonable price.
