Che was a brutal ruthless killer who killed brutal ruthless killers. Nobody was innocent. Particularly, he was Castro's post revolution executioner. No trials. Summary execution. But the people he shot were not angels. Batista who escaped with the money had been abandoned by the USA because of his unfettered violent ways. Castro's mistake was failing to treat with Wall Street. A more diplomatic and evolutionary process would have led to great prosperity for Cuba and it would have been the pearl of the Caribbean

Che was also very prejudice towards black ppl. Some of his quotes regarding them were rather appalling. Its always been ironic to me that some black ppl wear him on shirts.

This is hard to watch. From the perspective of third world countries and revolutionaries. Che was no angel. He took on many obligations that demanded swift action. He has said himself how he denounces some of the killings due to the government. But, realised their utility. People compare him to the worst of the dichotomy of west vs east. But, the reality is the man wanted to see Africa and South America free of domination by any foreign government. The man wouldnt rusk his life if he didnt believe that he was helpi g the situation. The mention of the C.I.A. without critique is absurd. Che was far more humane, even if the number if people were killed by him. The diem brothers and subsequent governments in vietnam killed so many more people. And che only wanted to rid the incombent revolutionary government of batista traitors. There is no evidence that he facilitated any killings not based on that premise. Further more che, unlike any senator or political figure in the west, was willing to fight and die for what he beleived in. Its a tragedy that we look upon an honourable man and see the same incompetence and cowardice that we dont hold any politician to account. Che earned his stripes. Mitch Mconnell or chuck schumer never took arms or sent themeselves or their sons to the imperialist wars they support. Che did.

Its crazy how simply you wash over the mass executions that communists never fail to exclude in their revolutions, with che being no exception. These executed people were almost never wealthy politicians or ceos, they were doctors and small business owners that would lose all of their hard work to the revolution

It doesn't but the honest answer is greed and human nature. It's the same in every western governments. You honestly think the US overthrowing and putting in puppets into almost 100 countries is freedom and democracy? I was in iraq killing people defending their homes. We killed over a million innocents in iraq alone.
