Ok so I looked through some of these comments, and so many people have been corrupted by these that I'm wondering what fraction of people on youtube are doing this, how many kids have seen this, and I'm wondering how bad the damage can actually be. I feel like we should just shut down the entire internet, and plan everything out before we open it back up to the public.

Been a problem on youtube for so long. I've gotten DMs from so many angry parents because their kids are coming across these, and whenever i come to youtube all i'm told to do is just "report" the videos (which literally does nothing). These channels find every way to dodge themselves getting taken down and since anyone can upload on this platform we're just gonna keep getting these weirdo clones. This video pretty much summed up exactly what we had to deal with for the past few months, this was super well put together and i can tell alot of time went into this. it's now just all in youtube's hands to take these ppl down cause i can't really do much anymore.

I never realized that I've also been a victim of those types of videos. Well, I was a kid during the early stages of youtube, and I remember watching gore videos so much. The one that basically traumatized me was the the Duck song version where every character is killed in the same manner of happy tree friends. I can't even listen to the song anynore without feeling uncomfortable and nervous. Well, it didn't stop there. I also watched vore videos so much back then as a kid I thought it was normal. I started having an addiction to these "giantess vore" videos that it went on until middle school. It became an actual fetish of mine, and im so disgusted of it. I hate it. Well, now, as an adult, I try my best to stay away from that type of content, I actually started having a fear of watching anything intimate. That said, It has REALLY affected my love life as well as this fear of intamacy, which has had me broken up with twice. I can't feel comfortable with anyone touching me or even holding hands with me. I couldnt even tell my parents at the time because of how abusive they used to be with me. I was too scared. I realize now typing all this how fucked up my life already is. I really need to get to therapy, and I might do so. I know nobody will read this, but it's just a note to myself to see I'll be free from the past and leave these things behind. I hope I can heal in the future.

I read your whole response, and I stand there right with ya. My life is... Beyond screwed up because of this stuff. Because of what I was presented by old friends, school, and later on... The internet. I probably need all sorts of mental help and therapy now because of all this. When I was 10 years old something bad happened to me. The person told me about all this stuff, and told me it was a game, that it was a secret and that I shouldn't tell anyone. I learned of all this at 10 years old, and then got addicted to the adult stuff. Just like you, I didn't say anything, not until later on at least. I thought the same thing you did. 9 years of an ongoing addiction that cannot be stopped. I'm 19 years old now, still addicted. I can't stop, despite knowing my life's screwed up. It screwed up my school life too. I wasn't ever really happy after all this happened to me the way it did. I learned about this stuff both the easy way, and the hard way. I didn't find this stuff myself on the internet as a kid. It was that people from school that showed me all this stuff, and then I started finding this stuff on the internet, mostly because I was just so curious and I had to find out more. First it felt like a whole new universe, a door to it being opened in my small world. Now, I see it as a mistake, a big one. I'd rather be the happy kid I used to be, even though I wasn't the smartest. I'd rather be that kid than the sad, self-destructive, depressed, and angry adult that I am. Because as a 10 year old kid, I was happy. I cried while writing this. I read your response. You are not alone.

@@betenoire5635Now that I’m reading your message, I’m realizing something. I fell for that myself, I don’t exactly remember if I was still like 8 or already 9 or 10. Unlike you I’m not an adult yet and still in school. For me they were just talking about Pxrn and stuff like it was normal and I didn’t understand it. I didn’t know what Pxrn is at the time and thought it’s probably something like a video game or sports or something. But then I got curious and wanted to know what it was they were talking about and asked them. They didn’t answer my questions and treated me like I didn’t know basic knowledge. I ended up searching for it on the internet and found these websites like phub. Man I just wish I didn’t look it up. I was such a happy boy back then, now I’m just a loser getting picked on by the “cool kids” for my addictions. The worst thing about this is I know for a fact that they have the same issues. Children and elderly people are similar in that they can get tricked so easily. The difference is that people talk about how people take advantage of seniors due to there sub-par knowledge on technology, compared to kids who grew up on it. The problem is that elderly people don't have to worry about what they watch on KZbin so they aren't messed up their entire life!

My parents did not allow me to be on the internet unsupervised until i was in highschool and the difference ive seen between my ability to handle gore and rape compared to some of the people ive met with unlimited internet access is astounding. People online from a young age without supervision watching this stuff are so much more desensitized, unfazed, and apathetic regarding these topics and honestly its alarming to see how little this stuff affects them. Raising a generation desensitized to these topics is something that should be of more concern to youtube, hopefully they start tightening up the restrictions.

I personally did have an unlimited access to Internet but maybe I just was in a position / community that didn’t have any of the disgusting gore / роrn. I can freely call myself “pure” in that regard, but maybe I am just lucky, and there always was this kind of stuff. Later I got watching more but never saw this kind of stuff tho

Leaving kids unsupervised on the Internet (especially KZbin) is genuinely one of the worst things a parent could do. Saying coming from someone who was often handed a tablet in my preteen years to distract me. It’s a bit different, but over the years, I believe that unsupervised access affected me mentally. The viewing of shocking content and being constantly on a screen did play a significant role in that. Numerous Intrusive thoughts throughout my childhood, poor sleep and sleep-deprivation, being stuck in a constant feeling of trying to forget what I saw. It shaped me in the worst way possible. I wish that any parent reading this, or any person planning to have children, *not have a screen replace real parenting*, especially in a child’s younger years.

We've reached a point where I only let them watch content creators that I've watched and confirmed to be kid friendly. What makes this extra scary for me personally is now looking back, I realize how close I was to ending up like the kids in this video who were addicted to gore because of these like my little pony rip offs. When I was a kid, I would watch my little pony episodes, and Minecraft channels, etc. but they were all pretty normal. Nevertheless, 8 year old me would sometimes stumble on the “Cursed!” or gory versions of these shows I loved, and back then I didn’t think it would matter or leave any effect on me. If it wasn’t for pure luck that the algorithm didn’t give me more of these videos, I would’ve gone down the same path as these messed up people. I didn’t come out of it completely unscathed though, because a specific few of these videos I feel like actually scarred me. One video in particular was some like 3D animation of My Little Pony, and it was this meat factory and it was just 5 minutes of these characters torturing and murdering each other. For me, nothing else is so insignificant on paper yet so disturbing when I actually remember it. I think in addition to just personal opinions, these horror videos I was exposed to as a kid now make me feel a little uneasy when watching cartoons like South Park, which have a cartoon theme but adult humor

as a victim of the kids content i can confirm that it does have an enormous impact on my brain and mental health but im really happy that it isnt as bad as what happened to the people in the video. not only did it make me a bit addicted to it it also made me addicted to electronics and social media which made my eyesight really bad and i regret even discovering disgusting channels that were apparently made for ''kids''. and its actually alot worse for people that have above average or good memory like me because they might live with these memories for a very long time and maybe their whole life i always try to forget bad memories such as this ''kids'' content but it just stays with me. your videos are amazing and one of the most entertaining and the fact that some of them actually teach you something is amazing. keep up the good work.

I also can consider myself a victim, though I don't like the term. I understand exactly what you're saying, because it's my life. I somehow balance friends, family, a sport, a musical instrument, straight A's, and I'm in the highest level classes I can be in. Genuinely, it's a lot of work and it's hard to keep up with, but that's besides the point. The point is that I was not in that place a while ago, and that is due to KZbin's terrible impact on me. I still have an addiction, I also have bad eyesight from good eyesight, and I also have a good memory, and it really sucks. It appears that you are no longer addicted, due to your wording, and I'm extremely happy for you. It's an insanely hard rabbit hole to dig out of. I've tried to keep myself busy, but that makes me way too tired by that point. I've tried to stop myself from doing it by force, which just leads to self-harm and more negative side-affects. I hope that I can stand with you, but I'm just not there yet. As someone who believes they stand with you, I'm proud of you for being able to reflect and get better, you're doing great :)

Solution, don't give kids unlimited access to the internet. There's no amount of baby proofing you can do to the internet that will make it a safe place for kids. If you give kids a tablet, anyone or anything in the world can reach them in their most vulnerable state and warp their minds. Parents need to step up and police the content that their kids consume.

My sister is super into the whole gacha life thing, and I can see how negatively it's affecting her. She swears and I don't, yet I'm older than her. She gets mad easily, and has no cue what normal social norms and interactions look like. She gets extremely socially anxious, and she always makes sure to close her computer down all the way, tabs and everything, so nobody knows what she's doing. Only if you want to see some more nasty stuff on youtube, search up gacha life. Almost all of the thumbnails have people without tops, or have censor bars. Note: I wanted to make sure I was right about it actually being inappropriate, and the thumbnails aren't the worst part. Well, here's the first thing I get: Woman saves a man's life after he gets thrown into the ocean by an assailant, and she runs away after, and the man thinks he was saved by another girl who becomes his girlfriend. She later meet him on the street. For some reason, they hang at his house, where he introduces his girlfriend. It fast forwards, they are married, and the girl who saved the man is shown crying in an alleyway. The end. Wow, this shows how we shouldn't be outgoing and do nice things and should let people drown because they won't marry us?! Like wtf? In that small thing, it showed stalking as being beneficial, attempted murder, partial identity theft, and has a message of "You shouldn't save people lives, it's not worth it" Trust me, your fears and mine are totally founded with reason :(

Genuinely a really well made video. As someone who grew up on the internet around 2011-2017, the importance of internet restriction is more dire (Especially now where any one person can stumble across vile videos/images) than it's ever been. I remember back when those Spiderman/Elsa videos were all the rave & how much they were being promoted, and what's happening right now is literally the same. Honestly KZbin needs to improve, but so do the parents who willing give their kids an iPad/phone & just do whatever they please. We're already seeing some of the effects of this kind of content, and honestly I'm worried to know how the next generation of kids will be like.

If anyone else is in the same situation but hasn’t improved on their mental health I seriously suggest getting a new group of friends and getting involved in sports or other school activities, it helped me a lot and I actually fit in

I wouldn't think about any other things at school, and sometimes slow down so much when talking that people should have noticed. It was until 2 years later, when I randomly saw Phoenix SC's video on monster school. From that point on, I have tried my best to stop watching these videos. 2 years might be a short period of time, but I became traumatized and had severe depression from those short years. I didn't make any friends at school, and sometimes even skipped school. I do things that I instantly regret, and randomly slow down while talking that people would've questioned it. I really hope these channels get taken down.

Dang. This is insane. My parents didnt let us have unlimited access to KZbin, but we were allowed to watch some when my brother and I were around 10. we would watch Minecraft content (not necessarily Cash), and even then this stuff would come up, even with filters. Thankfully, my parents had had enough talks with us that we knew to avoid it, and so we never watched any of it. Admittedly, I did have a very good head on my shoulders even at a young age, and I was able to put together when videos were not from my favorite mine crafter, but I do remember going over to kids houses who watched the same creator, and they had these videos playing too. Parents seriously need to keep their kids of of electronics. It's already messing up several generations.

I have younger siblings, and while from what I've seen they aren't consuming content this horribly wrong, I wouldn't know because I no longer live with them. I'm already worried enough that my younger siblings watch mindless clickbait that offers no substance. I've tried convincing my parents to enforce what my siblings watch more, and I've tried showing them proper family friendly content that relates to their interests but offers proper quality, but I cannot enforce that, as I cannot control my younger siblings. I'm so glad that I grew up on normal kids tv shows, and that when I did find KZbin, I watched creators like Stampy well into my pre-teens. I hope to God that my younger siblings haven't run into content like this, but I know they love Minecraft, and I know they wouldn't click off of video that have violence or gore. The one saving grace I have is that my younger siblings watch youtube on a 50" television in the lounge room, where my parents can see what they consume (if they are in the room as well...). I'm glad I ran into this video in my recommended. When I travel back home for the winter holidays, I want to see what my younger siblings are watching and attempt to nudge them into the right direction.

I was also someone who fell victim to unsupervised internet access since i was like six years old. There was a point in time that my obsession with creepypastas got me sleeping at my parents bed for years due to the terror that these stories i once believed they were true caused in my brain. Adding that with my gore and porn addiction at a young age caused an irreversible damage to my brain that I still have to carry ten years later, and it breaks me apart seeing that nothing has changed, and the newer generations will end up equally traumatized like us. There's this anecdote I will forever tell, because when it happened i was both disgusted and on the verge of tears: on a family event I saw a little girl, about four years old, _twerking_ in front of the family, with no one stopping her nor caring, and me and my mom were utterly disgusted, and we couldn't say anything because she was daughter from a distant relative; and it wasn't something that happened years ago, it happened about six months ago. So just like this girl, and many young kids are still having their brains rotted by content that once rotted our brains too is beyond infuriating to me.

I was around 9 years old when Elsagate became a thing but I didn't know what it was. However, I was aware of it's existence as I saw thumbnails of these videos I was like "nah, this looks like a bootleg product and I want the real one ". I should thank god that my 9yo self was wise enough to avoid these videos and that I am now a normal person

This literally breaks my heart to hear. I was exposed to p*rn at the age of 12, and have been addicted ever since, trying to stop. It’s done so much damage to me over the period of my life alone, causing tension in relationships, as well as changing the actual chemistry of my brain. I can’t imagine how horrible the effects would have been on me had I seen these videos in partnership at AN EVEN YOUNGER AGE. specifically the gory, fetish, and softcore p*rn videos. Children are impressionable, and have no knowledge of what is right or wrong until told so, by tablet or parent.

Man I'm sorry to hear that. What sucks the most is that most of this can be solved if parents ACTUALLY raised their children and monitored what they watch. Along with the shit we see on roblox or tik tok, the new generation of kids are fucked.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate viprahs story telling? This video just amazed me by the shear ammount of time and work put into this. Thank you viprah for providing us with this amazing content and informing us about the dangerous sides of KZbin, and what it can cause to young children. This has been a problem for way too long and @KZbin needs to do something about it!

W Video as always, glad you speak up about these things. I've seen my fair share of things over the years, kids content a long time ago was so much better, and concepts would be such that children could favour / learn from such as bullying getting consequences etc. I remember first time I was exposed to something like that was when I moved to Europe, got access to more platforms and social media since they were not allowed in my home country. I remember one channel: DMAJOR, someone that used to make videos for a series called "monster school" which was an animated Minecraft series, later on when the channel creator seemingly ran out of ideas and got less views because the content was repetitive, immediately certain aspects and content such as "hot girls", girlfriends of the characters, attributes such as the chest of a female and female bottoms, revealing underwear etc were added and after some time it would be these kind of things that made kids click and interact with these videos more than the other ones, a lot of adult content was in these videos too not to mention violence of many sorts, like guns, knives etc. However this was long time ago, it's just gotten worse over the years for the community in general. I do feel really bad for Nico because there is so much disgusting content and so many creators marketing inappropriate content to children under his name and his "brand". He doesn't deserve these leeches feeding off of him, this shouldn't happen to him, the children which are both innocent and clueless don't deserve being exposed to this upright sh*t either. Do these creators really have no shame? None of them put effort in their content, none of them make original content, none of them deserve any views, subscribers or any kind of profit whatsoever. Disgusting comm 🤢

Hey there! I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for sharing this eye-opening video. It's disheartening to see how the younger generation is exposed to inappropriate content on KZbin due to the lack of monitoring by some parents. Your video sheds light on an important issue that needs attention. By addressing the problem of KZbin's recommendation algorithm and the role it plays in influencing content consumption, you're helping create awareness and encouraging parents to be more vigilant. It's crucial that we find ways to protect our children from potentially harmful videos. Thank you for using your platform to highlight this issue and promote responsible digital parenting. Your efforts are truly commendable, and I hope this video reaches as many viewers as possible to spark conversations and bring about positive change. Keep up the great work!

This is a situation that needs to be dealt with. I remember that a situation like this also happened with monster school (though I don't think a lawsuit happened from that case). The way that KZbin seems not to be able to detect this needs to be fixed, as this CAN and probably will cause long-lasting effects on kids.

Yeah that also happened to me with minecraft monster school, i clicked it before but yeah my past kid self got kinda disgusted when the female zombie just shits on the screen, and that video instead prevented me from watching more of these shit 💀 I did still watch monster school even after this, specifically platabush. Homie made my childhood bro, he might have some pretty bad thumbnails but most of his videos were full of MLG edits which was funny back in the days.

Ohh I remember getting recommended some of those cringe videos back a couple of years ago, yeah content like this has been running rampant for years but KZbin profits from it so until someone sues them, they're just gonna turn a blind eye.
