That was the case for a lot of wrestlers back then. Kane had a couple of bad gimmicks, before he succeeded with Kane : Issac Yankem, and Fake Diesel. Rikishi floundered for a while after The Headshrinkers with "Make A Difference" Fatu, and The Sultan, and so did Hardcore Holly, who was called Sparky Plugg when he debuted (I'm not joking) etc. It just shows, that nobody becomes a star overnight.

Most of not all wrestler's back then look wouldn't make it, they were sucks on their character choice, and that's normal you wouldn't called a rookie if you didn't make mistakes and failed on your first tries. The thing is they didn't give up even Dwyane knew nobody like his persona he continued and use it as his stepping stone. Wrestler's who didn't make it are those who doesn't know how to use their failure, mistakes, criticism, hate's, boos and love's from the fans as their advantage. Their was wrestler's who look promising but ended pretty bad for they don't know how to level up their character's.

No doubt he puts the work in.. but let's be honest. If it wasn't for people in his life lining things up perfectly, we may never have had Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.. lot of things had to fall into place. That no amount of hard work could accomplish. It's a lot of circumstance and luck.. I hate the idea pushed that if you work real hard you too can be like him... it's just not true at all. Some of the hardest workers I've ever met had shit life's. And their is nothing they did to deserve it.. they just never got their break.

The Rock lies again about wanting to go to PRIDE if you look at the dates. The inaugural PRIDE 1 event was October 11, 1997. He already decided to return to WWF to turn heel on August 11, 1997 and joined The Nation.

I've heard The Rock lifestory like 10000 times, and what i got from it, is that WWE door was the easiest door for him to open because of his family, he always had food on the table and other opportunities if wrestling failed, But WWE kept pushing him and pushing him until he finally got it, basically they did the same with Roman Reigns.

Those people that wrent alive and old enough to watch the rock go from baby face rocky miavia to THE ROCK, those people have no clue how epic his rise was.. you can go back amd watch every Monday night raw amd all the pay per views. But it's not the same as watching all that and seeing the impact the rock had on people in the real world. Every catch phase even non wrestling fans would start saying.. I can't count how many time I was called a rudypoo by people that never watched wrestling but heard it from a friend or adults hearing it from their kids and saying it to their Co workers....when I worked construction which at the time was maybe a year before the rock left for Hollywood. My construction boss asked me if I wanted to put up the sheet rock or lay bricks for the day and when I was about to answer my boss hit me with the IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU WANNA DO!!... That's how big the rock was

In terms of movies , Rock didn't know who Jean Claude Van Damme was , Van Damme was iconic for Bloodsport , Kick boxer , Universal soldier , how can he not know who Van Damme is , he was bigger than the Rock in his prime , Rock is highest paid but that does nothing for the movie goer , he is WWF famous combined with a extremely high budget to carry his movies with CGI without it everything would of flopped . Stallone , Shwartznegger are know for Rambo, Rocky , Predator , Terminator they iconic movies that made them legends. His not in the same action league and John Cena well he can't act least Dwayne improved as he went on in his acting.

John Cena said the rock just left wrestling cause he didn't respect the business.. What is John Cena doing now?oh that's right. Cena left the business and only make the here and there appearances....and the difference between Cena and the rock is that wwe owns John Cena name while wwe only owns the name of the rock. Not Dwayne Johnson..I bet if wwe didn't own cemas name he wouldn't make as many guest appearances
@breonwilliams7
@breonwilliams7 3 ай бұрын
WWE doesn’t own the name John Cena because that’s his real name, and John Cena didn’t leave WWE he just isn’t a full time performer anymore. And yes he criticized the Rock early on but wrestling isn’t forever and he had to find something else he was also passionate about and that’s acting. 🤷‍♂️
@dustincongello5802
@dustincongello5802 3 ай бұрын
@breonwilliams7 John Cena himself said in a interview that wwf makes money off of anything he does still to this day when using the name John Cena..and as far as him not leaving and is still part time, you could say the same about the rock.. and I don't have a issue with Cena leaving wrestling to act, but he talked all that trash about the rock doing it during the time the 2 had real beef jist for Cena to do the same exact thing....besides I lost all respect for Cena after seeing a video of him scolding a fan for filming him in a public setting.his first words to the person filming was scolding the guy not understanding he is a world wide star that this fan just happened to run into on the street .as if ge is better then every other celebrity that understand people taking their picture in public comes with the job he chose to do...I like Cena as a actor, disliked him as a wrestler and hate him as a person and he earned all 3 of those opinions

Rock left because WWE he wasn't under contract with them anymore. He stopped working for WWE, so there was no reason for him to come back if he was no longer obligated to. Rock is no longer an employee, why is that so hard to understand ?
