Jailer's Robes provide better protection, and look really good with this build. Also the barbed straight sword / shield make a great addition to this, as well as some pyromancy depending on your faith stat

Quickly want to say thank for these uploads. Most of the dark souls 3 content, or atlest the ones that associated with special builds, are 3 years old if not more. I ground my way up to SL70 in that sewer area near the distant manor bonfire with this build, and the rest of the game was a cakewalk. When I got to dancer I had 40 int 24 fth and 20 dex, I used dark edge on that booty and beat her in 7-8 swipes. This build is hilarious.

Dorythys Gnawing would be a great addition. Its just deep soul with blood build up and less damage. Makes nameless king and dancer crumble and it's satisfying af to see a third of the health bar just vanish. Especially useful on bosses whete you can't get big boi soul dregs off.

I'm doing this run today but I'll be switching up a few things. I'll use the heretics staff up until the ringed city where I'll swap it out for the murky. Once I beat midir I'll pump Dex a few extra levels with the points saved from not using the izalith staff to use the frayed blade. Wish me luck, fellow ashen one's

Another great build video man 👍 I have a Dark Build myself and It’s very good, I use the Crucifix of the mad king and other dark weapons like Onyx Blade. Also congrats on reaching 1K subs btw! You were very Inspiring to me and have done 2 DS3 build videos myself! If you’d like you can check them out! They’re not In the same style as yours however, because I put my own spin on them like you said awhile back. I’m also getting a new pc so I can edit better than the limited PS5 editing software I’ve been using aha :)

best dark spell (and general spell IMO) is the greater deep soul from alrdrich covenenant, bit of a grind but well worth it, you get 30% more damage (1.3x spellbuff) compared to deep soul at only 9fp a cast and same casting speed. In comparison, the soul dregde is 30 fp and only gives 2.6x spell buff, meaning only 2 casts worth

Izalith Staff is best when only using Dark Sorceries whereas Murky Longstaff is best if you plan to use Magic Sorceries as well. Just be wary that you might want to favor Intelligence over Faith if you are using the latter.

You have to kill patches to get seigwards armor and drop it down to him. You can also not kill patches and buy it off of him later. I recommend doing that even though it takes longer because patches sells useful items.

Grind the sewer area by the distant manor in Irithyll with silver snake ring and the shield of want so you can get your faith up. Best thing is to buy a bunch of homeward bones from the old lady at firelink and just grind it out for an hour or two. Actually ez souls.

If you’re already in Itithyll just grab Great Deep Soul and spam the hell out of it. Get Symbol of Avarice, Gold Serpent Ring, Crystal Rapier & lots of rusted coins. From Pontiffs bonfire go outside and run the gauntlet of dark deacons. You need 10 Human dregs. Only took me 25 mins to get 10. So worth it tho. You can spam Great Deep Soul the same way but does way more damage.

If it's your first time playing, I would highly recommend to not limit yourself with a build like this one. Instead, use all sorceries you find and also try everything else you find around.

Unfortunately, the core spell is from DLC (Dark Sorcery is kinda underwhelming in the base game). Regardless of that, it's still viable without it. You can see in the video that most of the fights I use Deep Soul for the low FP cost anyway. You could try adding some Magic Sorceries to the mix or use Dark Pyromancies (they use the same stats, you only need to switch the sorcery boosting rings for the pyromancy ones).

You only need The Ringed City to finish the build, however, I strongly suggest to just get them both. They both contain the best boss fights in the game.

Yeah DS3 in general is pretty limited by how linear it is in comparison to DS1 and 2 as well as Elden Ring. Those offer you a lot more flexibility to for stuff earlier than DS3 does.
