From what I've read pit viper venom in the Philippines destroys flesh and blood which means his arm would start turning black from lack of blood flow and the site of the bite would get worse as the poison eats the flesh. I found a few pictures of a centipede bite and that's what it looks like. The amount of swelling varies in each person but it should start improving within 48hrs. I would definitely monitor it and if it gets worse go to the doctor. You guys have done a great job making sure he's taken care of, it's always best to air on the side of caution. I will be praying for a complete recovery for your brother.

So many things came up here, i am respectful of cultural differences and circumstances, here in Australia first thing with a snake bite whether animal or human is to immobolise the person/animal as movement accelerate the venom through the body, second is that farmers can access anti venom as do vets but it has a short shelf life hence thats why they don't keep large amounts in hand, wishing your brother a speedy recovery

I got bit in Hawaii while in the army in the late 70s. I was sleeping in a pup tent and it woke me up. I slept the rest of the night in my truck cab. I don’t know what it was, maybe a centipede? There were 2 puncture wounds. My hand and arm were twice the size. Of course it wasn’t a snake for me, there aren’t any snakes in Hawaii. It was painful. My thoughts are with your brother, I hope he will be okay. I was always told that if you get bit by snake in the Philippines you’re pretty much dead, because anti-venom isn’t available at all. That was in Mindanao in the mountains by Valencia City (not the Valencia most people know about by Dumaguete) maybe it’s different where you are. Here’s praying for a speedy recovery!

Yes the only snake in Hawaii is on the big island its called a lava snake 😂😂😂 where we trained on those volcano lava fields when you walk across that lava at night you can't see nothing. That's where they trained the astronauts to walk on the moon years ago. So when we fall at night we get cut up by the lava sometimes badly so we called it Lava Snake 😂😂😂 but their are snake's on Hawaii except in zoos. Now Philippines where i live now we have 7 different types of poisonous snake's 1 is the cobra so please ship mongoose to the Philippines to weed these snake's out before the big pythons here get me or saltwater Crocodile @AmericaManFilipinoWife
