The Darkness have now moved into the legendary rock band category. They have had a consistent quality and have now built up their song and album catalogue to the point where they have many classics. They remind me of a band like Cheap Trick in terms of great songs, longevity, consistency and an amazing live band. There are very few rock bands like The Darkness in 2021.

But I'm guessing he might be named after George Carlin's character in Bill and Ted's for his awesome ability to shred on futuristic guitars. If you had to think of rock band that became what the Wyld Stallions was in those movies, you couldn't ask for a better one than The Darkness.
